If you can supply us with the USB identifier for it (The name that shows up in windows when it is connected), and tell me what the values of the axis ranges are, I can add it as a supported board. For now VP supports ushock and pinball wizard controller. Failing that you'll need to use it as a keyboard interface device and there aren't very nice posts on the forum about using it that way.

Hi destruk!

Iīm successfully using a MS Sidewinder gamepad for nudge, and found it very accurate, so it would be great if you could define a safe nudge zone with a slider within VP.

Can you please add this device to the list of supported nudge devices:
(topic of it here)

The identified name in control panel -> Game controllers [installed game controllers] is
Microsoft SideWinder Freestyle Pro (USB)

The axis values in XPadder is:

X-axis:
-------------------
-100 (far left) 0 (in the middle) and 100 (far right)

Y-axis:
-------------------
-100 (far bottom) 0 (in the middle) and 100 (far top)

I hope it works with the values from XPadder.. or should I grab them from somewear else?

Let me now if your good with this data or if I should dig around some more! drinks.gif

Best Regards!

Does it have a Z-Axis for analog plunger support? Or do you want that ignored?

The controller dosenīt have a Z-Axis, but a Slider1 scroll weel.
I took a picture of the setup with the controller angled to far right, resulting in a right nudge.
The values are different depending on which setup section is displayed in XPadder.

Hmm... I feel like a total noob as I donīt know which value to give you, so maybe it is better for you to have a look:

First window show a value of X = 100, (-100 to 100)max right but in the other DirectInput shows Axis X as 65535 (start values in DirectInput 0 to 65535)
and as I mentioned before, the Axes presented is X, Y, Slide 1

Hope that this helps as I really want to use the scroll weel / slide 1 for plunger.

Thanks for your patience! tup.gif

I think that I found an issue on this version. Sometime Atari Centipede Pinball get another extra ball at the drain. The lights already lit before those gone off at the drain. The score wasn't hit at 6000 and Lights already lit at 4800. Kind of odd because the score a little past at 5000. I check the script and I didn't find anything wrong.

Maybe it the old user folder isn't working right on this version. I deleted the user folder with the saved and it seem fixes the issue. Any thoughts?

I am having trouble to use VP 9.0.8. My antivirus/firewall (Norton Internet Security 2010 - sonar module) detects weird function calls when i execute it and removes the program from my HDD. Dontthink its a virus as it was downloaded directly from this site.

Anyone else seen this problem? btw version 9.0.2 works fine.

thanks for this nice pinball game. Have been losing guite a lot of hours lately dblthumb.gif

I have Norton Internet Security 2010 and Sonar enabled and had no problem with any version of VP, including 9.08
Usually, with Sonar, there is a major issue with a file, or at least it thinks there is, or otherwise it will give you the option to exclude it from the scan.
Try re-downloading it.

Remind me to not download something you uploaded. NOTHING imo is worse on a computer than a virus.

Well, I don't want to get into semantics here, but technically, there can be worse than a virus. It just depends on which virus you have. I've reinstalled Tiny7 to clean out my HD and did a final virus scan. I had like 8 viri, mostly trojans and stuff like that. However, I didn't notice any preformance loss, and I don't have any information that's worth being phished. But a bloated virus scanner that impacts my preformance and really loves to jump at everything that looks just barely like a virus is very detrimental to my mood in general.

Now there are some very bad viri, especially the ones you really can't get rid of once you have them without some serious work. There was this one I had, it infected every single EXE file I had on my HD. I just rescued everything I needed that wasn't a program and formatted. Avira, AVG and NOD32 couldn't get rid of it (I used them one after another, not all at the same time). But those are easily avoided with some common sense.

No virus here.I use Avira,Malwarebytes, Stinger once a week & common sense all the time.I think that if you hav e a virus in your computer, itīs because you let it enter.

I used Norton some years ago,it reveals totally inefficient & my pc was slow & heavy as a tractor!
