Where are the physics stored- are they all just per table? I copied all my tables over, wondering how to get back to default settings. On another note- after the full reinstall, many videos in the pinballX front end where not playing. I downloaded the latest Lav filters and that fixed some of the issues, but any video that is F4V format does not play. Have any of you come across this? It's a mess, I'm spending like 4 hours a week trying to get things back to normal. I also have an issue moving dmds , on the new build I can't see the mouse to drag it up when it's on the playfield and not the backglass.

Yes, physics is local - decided by table creator. Some are doing scription that goes beyond what the native VP can do via GUI though. VPW pr. example.

Those video formats sound so me to be a bit outdated. I have a vague feeling that it was installed ages ago on my side via some codes package that Spesoft/PiinballX recommended ?!

Since then, I kept the VPX xml table defintions and went for a painless migration to PBY by MJR. Never looked back.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

F4V videos should still work fine with PinballX after the LAV codec install (https://forums.gamee...v-video-codecs/). Check the filenames as it's a new install, did you have File Matching enabled in PinballX previously?.

For the DMD's (assuming you're using freezys dmddevice), open a table where the dmd is correctly positioned - right click and 'save position globally' to set a default position. You may also need to to edit dmddevice.ini file and set the 'useregistry' entry to false.

Same here. All is well.

Thanks all, coming along slowly. I don't remember a right click option to default dmd, so well have to get freezys again I guess. I will have to copy this drive once done! I went to install Future pinball and bam last night and these games all have to be configured as well :(  For some reason FP closes itself after running for like 5 minutes- is this a new known issue? Looks like the site futurepinball.com is down, so found a FP and bam together install I believe from Future Pinball and BAM Essentials - All in One - Future Pinball Files - Virtual Pinball Universe

So it turns out that the 6600 GPU crashes after 5-10 minutes of running Future Pinball. Tomorrow is the last day I can return it, so I'm in luck at least! Is there a decent alternative card that is not AMD?

Should not normally, have a machine here with an RX6600, runs FP all day long, maybe issue is not the GPU itself?

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow

I doubt as well that the RX 6600 would be causing the problem. But if you want to replace that GPU, an RTX 3060 is roughly its equivalent, at least what relates to VPX / FP.
