Full size cabinet? Can't help you, but for a mini cabinet I suggest this 545 motor:

https://www.ebay.com...er/323180709969

Regards,

Rick

It's an RS 545, it will probably shake anything
And power your PC car too LOL

Yeah, this puppy is pretty powerful, but after I saw the huge motor they put into the "Attack From Mars" cabinet, it takes a distant 2nd.

Rick

Depends on how much you really want it to shake
Plus where you mount the motor

Mount it close to the operator and seems like it would shake enough for me.

It isnt like i can really shake the physical playfield

And maybe do not want to, it is an LCD after all, i dont wanna shake it apart

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Hi Mike...feel really dumb as I posted in the wrong thread!  First, I wanted to just let everyone know how much I love the Pinscape board and the build quality!  Anyone considering this should just go ahead...very nicely built!

Second, I wanted to get another one and emailed (but never heard back so maybe my emails are ending up in your spam folder?) but then read you prefer to order here, so just wanted to let you know I wanted another one for another one I’m building.

Also, I donated today to this awesome site.  I love pinball and appreciate everyone’s contributions as I can now play all my favorite games.  I am not a techie person, but hope I can contribute in other ways.  Thank you all so much.

Doug,

Thanks for the Kudos.  One caveat I thought I would mention is that these particular motors do not have a sheetmetal faraday clip.  Many have seen these cylinder shaped clips that encompass the motor and mistaken them for either a spacer or a heatsink.  This clip is actually there to direct the magnetic field back into the motor making them increasingly efficient, hence stronger.  This subtle piece is similar to the winglets on modern jets, as they assist in directing the air flow over the wind giving the airfoil better lift.  Anyway, this particular motor does not have that ring.  An older motor purchased last year does have the ring and it is noticeably stronger.  Your mileage will vary.

Thanks Rick for the reply and for the info on a clip that would make it stonger. I will check for other 545 motors on ebay to see if any have the ring clip. Also Rick do you have 3D file that I can get from you that you use on your Asian ball shooter. I need the file so I can have one made so I can Mount my potentiometer to my Asian ball shooter. Hope to hear from you soon.

If you need like a really hefty RS-545, you might look to the hobby vendors
Even though brushless has taken over, they still have them, people use them in things like crawlers

Just posting that I purchased several of the items Mike is selling including an AIO, Rotary encoder, and LED flippers and Mike is amazing to work with and his products and support are fantastic.  I ran into a couple of issues along the way (user error) and Mike really stands by his products and helped me out.  The AIO is really perfect for setting up a cabinet and the documentation he provides makes it pretty simple to get up and running.

Probably the only issue you might have with buying from Mike is that it makes it a little TOO easy to get sucked into the hobby.  :-) You will find yourself scouring eBay for old chime units, researching gear motors, and debating the merits of different approaches to installing a fan on your cabinet.

If you are considering ordering items from Oak Micros, I really encourage you to do it.  One of the best decisions I made in the hobby.

Hi Mike

You sold me

  • Pinscape AIO board: $225
  • Potentiometer plunger housing, cable, and spring: $30
  • Rotary encoder volume control: $12
  • 32 fuse board with 15 resistors for flashers and no fuses: $15
  • First class USPS airmail to UK: $24
  • Less deposit already paid: -$15

in 2019, unfortunatly my house sold pretty soon after buying the parts so I never made a start on the cab. Everything you sent is still in the box and has never been removed. I just wondered if you may have someone else in the UK who would benefit from buying these cheaply as I'm never going to get around to doing this cab for the forseeable future. Just an idea :-)

The PCWin 7: 3.59 AMD A8-5600K APU, 8GB RAM. NVidia Geforce GT560 ti (Playfield), AMD Radeon HD 7560D (Backglass & DMD)

The Cab5 x Contactors (2 x Flippers, 3 x Bumpers), 20 x LEDs 8 for slingshots, 12 for bumpers. 3 x Strobe Lights - Run through Ledwiz

Buttons2 x Flippers, 2 x Magna Saves, 1 & 2 player, Start, Launch Ball, 6 admin buttons - Run through IPac.

Two years ago, I started Oak micros to provide the best-of-breed Pinscape boards for virtual pinballs. In that time I have sold 169 Pinscape Lite boards and 282 Pinscape AIO boards, 113 of which were part of my All-in-One builders kit. This represents 451 cabinets run by Oak micros controllers. This far exceeded any expectations when I first started Oak Micros.

However, I have now sold out of my stock of Pinscape boards. I have decided to take a break from manufacturing so I have more time to play Pinball, finish my cab, and pursue other hobbies. I want to thank all of my customers and assure them that I will continue to provide support.

I still have stock of my other products but these are also selling fast so you may want to act quickly before they are also sold out. Here is my webpage: https://www.vpforums...showtopic=43173.

If you want to buy ready to go Pinscape boards, then I can recommend Arnoz's products: https://shop.arnoz.com/en. I have not heard anything bad about him or his business and he makes good stuff.

A number of my customers came to me after being scammed by GGS. I cannot and have never recommended German Gaming Supplies - please stay away from this "business".

Oh, darn

Detents and much too little.

I am probably going to have to build one
probably have to belt drive a small non detented one, or a floating mount or something

Need to make some sprint II wheels, and ya just dont see any modern spinners up to the task of having a 16" steering wheel bolted to them

Like most things with this hobby I barely squeaked past before the doors shut lol Glad I was able to get a set up and didn't hesitate any longer then I already had...

Do you do any flight simming? There is a pretty big lack of Flight sim gear going on. Its all inputs and what not so you could look into that if you start looking for something new to build..

good trim wheels and TPMs always sell..

I dont know much about it but the people who build 747s could use a guy like you to come in and make them some really sweet AIO boards.. from what I gather they often use simple input boards that only have like 14-15 inputs, and they use like 25 of them.. they'll even have a separate computer to just run inputs and network it to their main rig..

I bet they'd spend a pretty penny if you could design them some giant AIO boards to run their homemade cockpits lol

I'm just going to set this here and go get a cup of coffee.. DONT TOUCH ANYTHING!! :pardon:  NOT MY LINKS BUT ENJOY

Mike, truly sad to see you have left the scene but totally understand your need to prioritise things and enjoy your life :) I'm glad I got in before you made this decision and got my AIO builders kit, thank you so much. I can definitely, absolutely, 100% say that without it I wouldn't have a vpin up and running, just now that it is I've had many people whov'e seen it want to build one too but they are even less electronically minded than myself so they are out of luck. The lengths you went to to make your products as simple and as straight to the point as they needed to be is credit worthy. FWIW if it is a money thing, ie your time invested vs. return I'm sure you could charge more. I would gladly have paid $1000+ aussie for your product just for the convenience of your products. Thanks again and enjoy life to its fullest :)
