Might consider controller.vbs to deactivate flipper and sling sounds for us cab guys. I am not getting any stutter at all.

As far as the sounds from this table, is this not a Sega trait with pinmame? I know Southpark has same issue for me. I maxed out volume and still quiet versus other manufacturer tables.

There is time in life we feel cheap and stupid. I still dont understand, if its a setup, what nis the setup ? I only see the game play and sound. Im i missing something rightnin front of my face ?

The only other thing I would suggest then is to use the procedure to adjust via the pinmame window.

I think on a cab if the showDMDonly variable in the script is set to true, you should be able to right click on the backglass and under visibility set DMD to visible.  Close that menu and press F3 to reset.

Then click on the pinmame window, hit the tilde key (the key to the left of the 1 key on the keyboard).  This should open a white box.

Using the up and down arrow keys, scroll through the channels until you get to a channel that needs to be adjusted (usually one that is set to a low volume)

Using the left and right arrow keys, adjust the volume of the channel (left arrow lowers the volume. right arrow raises the volume)

Repeat the last two steps to adjust volume of other channels if needed

When done press the tilde key to close the white box

Right click on the backglass and under visibility set DMD to standard, close the menu and press F3 to reset.

I can't guarantee this will work for you though.

Thanks for the tip, ta2686... my channels in the pinmame settings were already maxed out though.

but the newest one? cause i fixed something at some point to make the sound a bit louder.

if you have the newest (and also tested the regular, official one), then please upload a video so i can hear how low it really is in comparison to the table sounds.

cause for me its not so loud as it was before the BSMT2000 sound core changes, but still good and fits the table sounds.

Ok, I'll have to download the newest one... I think the unofficial version is based on an older one but I'm not sure.

*edit*  Well, I just loaded up the official pinmame 2.7... the table sounds are still way louder than the "music", etc... even at max "31" volume.

On a weird side note... maybe it's just me, but it seems like I started getting ball stutter after loading up pinmame 2.7?  Could it be related to other complaints about stutter earlier in the thread?

*edit*  Ok, went back to the "unofficial" pinmame and I'm noticing the slight stutter still... so disregard.  It's something else.

Superb, So I guess your script, changes, setup, what ever changes the authors will consider it ?  Still don't know how with just a video hanibal2001 will know what change you made.  Maybe you can explain me ?

As said, please make a video then, as for me personally its good, but maybe there is some very weird bug and i need to understand what the effect is.

Ok, as requested... here is a video.  Not sure what it reveals, but you can see that at max volume for the rom, the music and sound effects barely can be heard over the table sounds, when, obviously they should be overpowering them at that level.

Actually... I need to know how to upload a video on this site.
