The table worked perfectly yesterday.  Today it has no speech, though the music plays fine.  Anybody know how to toggle the speech back on?  It is much more entertaining with the speech on.

Do you have two sound cards or two sound output devices? The speech files are set to *BGOUT* in the sound manager so if it detects a second sound card, AND VP is set to use a secondary sound option, it will play on that source. If you go to Preferences and then sound options you should see what's being done

I'm using the motherboard's built in sound.  The good news, however, is that while reloading the table didn't fix the issue, rebooting the system did.  I guess something just got hung up.  Thanks for a teriffic table.  Very different and quite fun!

Great table Fren!  A couple of items I would love to sort out.

How can I remove the b2s grill? I have a 3 screen set up and right clicking the backglass and "hiding" the grill doesn't seem to work on this table.

Also, I'm new to visual pinball 10 (vpx), but have been running vp9xx and pm5 for a while.  The F keys don't seem to work with vpx.

How do I access the VBScript keyboard settings in vpx, for items such as F3 for "reset emulation"?

Thanks in advance!

The only other directb2s I have unfortunately is static, but it has no grill. https://mega.nz/#!0hcWXa4a!_EqEEd1ftLZtCCrOjZerD7vgtSBXaloMOPuBn54TEbk

The F keys are VPINMame controls, since this doesn't use VPM they don't work. The only way to reset UltraDMD is to right click on the score display and exit it

Thanks, this is my first go at UltraDMD.  The static BG looks good as well!

I'm now getting quite a bit of stuttering during game play.  Is there a way to fix this?

You can try turning off ambient occlusion and reflections, lots of dynamic objects on the table so it may cause slowdown. If you don't have issues with other tables, that would be your best improvement here.

if you want to remove the grill;

you will have to import the dB2s file into the dB2s editor and add a grill height to the file.

When I turned off the ambient occlusion and reflections in the VPX editor, the table plays great.  However, when I launch it from PinballX, the table has a lot of slow down and stutter still.  This is the only table I've seen do this, including other VPX tables.  The other tables are not UltraDMD, so maybe there is something I can change within UltraDMD once the table is launched??

It would be cool if the installer let you choose what to install... maybe I will use it, but make a backup before. thanks

Thank you for this table :)

I have an issue with the music though... I don't have any! The music folder is in my VP folder and the mp3 files for AMH are in there but I hear no music.

I have sound effects (speech etc) working fine (I even got UltraDMD working after a bit of a battle) but no music.

Any suggestions please?

Hi Freneticamnesic,

Very great work, thank you :)

I really enjoy this table ;)

I have a question too about the grill that I cannot set to Hidden :

if you want to remove the grill;

you will have to import the dB2s file into the dB2s editor and add a grill height to the file.

I tried 32Assassin's suggestion and added a grill height to the .direct2bS file, but that doesn't change anything.

The grill still appears when I launch the table.

Is there anything else I can do ?

Because the ROM based tables trick to right clic on the B2S, setting Grill to Hidden and reset the table by F3 key can't obviously work with an original table.

Thank you again and keep the good work ;)

Edit - I think I've find a trick : I exported the backglass image in B2S Designer, cropped it to remove the grill and import this new image in B2S Designer.

It seems to work, but I dunno if it's the good way of doing what I wanted to do :)

++
