Yea I don't know what it's called or how to achieve it. There's a halftone function in photoshop that is a similar effect but I can't really control the color. I think I have to create custom patterns for that, that's all I can think to do.

edit: or use these patterns http://ninjastefan.d...terns-136328878

Search YouTube for "dotted gradient in Photoshop"
There is a quick vid there showing you how easy they are to make and manipulate
The correct term is halftones

Edit: here it is

P1 I have looked at the halftone filter in photoshop and the minimum size of the dot is 4pixels, and if you try to do it to a color and maintain the color it gets all funky looking (tri-colored dots). I experimented with the pattern use and think that's my best option.

So you need it smaller than 4 pixels? I can try and take a look at it tonight and see if I have anything in my ebook collection. It's about time the 8 total years in art school paid off for something.

Haha, i think 1px, it's really fine on the table I'm not sure if you can see in the picture I posted. I think 1px and 1px space in each direction

to blend colors maybe think of doing each gradient part on a seperate layer and make your gradient fade from full color to transparent

Thank you, the big things I have left I can't see in the best detail - there's 2 side lanes, one on the left and one on the right. I can see some of them in pictures but I am not the most creative person, graphically. That's going to slow me down the most.

I figured out the halftone texture, using the pattern brush you can't adjust the size, but if you use the pattern layer style you can adjust the size and it turns out well.

This will be my last update now until I start working on the table itself. I do have a few more things to do but not much/not exciting.

Great job!  Never seen this one in the wild, so I'm loving watching it come together!  Feels like one of those TV game shows where you had to guess what the puzzle was as they revealed small parts of it.
