I loaded 9.2 and tested it without a front end, and the Exit key (F8) on my PWC doesn't work. I have to hit escape and quit form the menu. Has anyone else had this problem? Has support for this function been dropped?

Does it work with 9.1.5?

Yes, if I start with the vpinball915.exe and load any table the  exit button works after holding it for 3 seconds. With 9.2 nothing happens. I running all the latest essentials files and the vpinmame 2.5 Cab Build.

I'll take a look at the code in the next couple days as it should work, I intentionally retained all the default functionality when I added all the extra coding for input customization... In the mean time, if you feel like it, try some of the beta builds between 9.1.5 and 9.2, you can get them from the link in my Sig... Just click on 'Other Daily Builds' and grab them from the 9.1.6/9.2 folder, and see if you can pinpoint when it stopped working, that might help get it back to the way it should be.

Koadic,

That was fun!  The PWC exit button works up to version 596, stops working in version 597 and higher.

seems like an easy fix, there was a typo in koadics commit..

EDIT: fixed with rev 812 (VP9.2.1)

Thanks Toxie,

I only see ver 810 in the dropbox download site.

Look forward to the update when posted, will let you know if it works.

Perhaps the 9.2 release in essential VP downloads should be updated as well when confirmed?

Hello, may i ask for a short note if V916 is replaced by V920 now, as i can´t find a V916 standalone.exe? Will all tables support V920? Thank you.

I have a general question :

it is possible now to set "region upd." and "region opt." per table and not just in general ...

now i played around with some tables and to be honest the 2 options set to 0 = OFF does not change anything on the table to look wrong but the frame rate seems to be better.

what happened ? don't we need those 2 options any more ?

i am just curiouse because i always ask myself what is the optimal setting now for each table

Certain laptops run better with RU on, and I am also sure that RO has it's uses as well in certain situations, but if everything runs great with both disabled, then by all means disable both and enjoy the free performance increase... and if you do find a table that you need to enable one or the other, take comfort in the fact that you can do it for that one table instead of setting it globally :D

Big thanks to all involved in improving vp. I have a quick question. With some of the nm I have some lighting that looks like paint splatter. I think I read something about this in the wip thread but couldn't refind it. I tried changing ru or ro but it didn't seem to fix it. I am using Win7 64. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also have no music or non mechanical sounds on the new sttng which is weird but table sounds are fine.

We skipped the 916 release in favor of 920, as the changes were too drastic..

I just spent two days recovering my pin cab files and I'm 99% back to normal.  I was running Win XP SP3 but now I'm running a fresh and clean install of Windows 7 / 64 bit and whenever I exit a VP table from Hyperpin, I get an appcrash message box that I have to use my mouse to close.

I have done the "right click" and chosen to run in xp xp3 compatability mode and set the .EXE to be run with administrator priviledges.  (I also disabled UAC but that didn't make a difference.)  I know I'm missing something elementary.  Any clues??

Best Regards,

Todd.

I'm bumping this because I still haven't found a solution.

For what it's worth, the problem above only happens when I exit a table in Hyperpin.  Exiting Vpinball.exe from the desktop doesn't create the error.

I hope someone has seen this before.
