sounds like your system have problems displaying alpha ramps correctlly.

The transparency color (usually black, better if there were a chessboard as a background instead of black color) of PNG images seen in the preview of the Image Manager is not right , the right color is RGB 123,123,123.
Transparency wrong is the cause of the problem.

Thanks

Max

I can't reproduce this issue, Works fine here with transparency set to any color.

Maybe time for a driver update ;).

BTW, I will not update the table based on bug reports from visual pinball beta users.

For those having some of these little issues, its probably a good idea to also post the version of VP in use

Has anyone found a solution to the minor transparency issue? Just wondering, as I really haven't had the time to investigate and tweak things for myself. Is this something that can just be fixed by goin into "image manager", and editing the actual .png file?

just what i experience: VP9.15 / GTX650Ti , latest drivers

at gamestart the plastics near the outlanes are "light-on"

for example :when you shoot the ball into top hole right to the letter E of lie , the table goes dark , when ball is released again the table lights up again as the game continues but outlane and slingshot plastics don't , they stay dark .

now when the ball goes next to those  plastics that are still dark the ball lightens them again...

next ball -> all plastics are lit up again because the table starts over with the lighting of the game

016a58-1368701180.jpg

there seem to be something wrong with the on off settings , i tried different things in the script but i was not able to figure it out :(

anyways - super cool table  !

I love it ! :)

thanks

This table works fine for Rosve, and he can't duplicate the problem, so it's probably going to stay like this.

Funny thing is, it's probably something simple. ( color transparancy issue )

I. Agree, gorgeous table!

try this :

look for line 700 in the script:   Case 1'INTERMIDIATE    .... and copy the settings from "Case 2 'ON" under it

               GI_Plastics1.Image="plastics1ON"
               GI_Plastics2.Image="toplaneplastON"
               GI_Plastics3.Image="toplaneplastON"
               GI_Plastics4.Image="toplaneplastON"
               GI_Plastics5.Image="toplaneplastON"
               GI_Plastics7.Image="minipftransON"
               GI_Plastics6.Image="midplaston"
               GI_Plastics8.Image="plastics2ON"
               GI_Plastics9.Image="plastics3ON"
               GI_Plastics10.Image="plastics4ON"
               apr.Image="apron1"
               indian.Image="indian3"
               Ramp188.Image="ramptopON"
               Ramp189.Image="ramptopON"
               backp.Image="backpanelON"
               rt5.Image="sttON"
          '     GI_PF.Image="pfgion"
               reelgi=1:UpdateReel
               GIlight1.State=1
               sw51.state=1
               sw52.state=1
               sw53.state=1
               LLGI.State=1

I think it is playing right now ...

can't find a bug so far with this modification - although i am not completely sure why there are no commandos for intermediate ... ? OFF is OFF , ON is ON , Intermediate ... is ... ?

i hope it is ok to post my solution ... if not please tell me

no disrespect Rosve - i don't want to mess with your fantastic work !!

another thing i noticed is that i lose a lot of balls on the ramps (open ramps left and right of the boat)

they kind of fly off and land somewhere on the table and get stuck :(

anyone experiencing the same ?

to solve this i built invisible walls like a crash barriere on the outside of the open ramps , works fine now :D

LLGI.State=1               ' Line726

@kiwi

thank you! i will try this ! :D

edit: just did ! works perfect ! haha thanks so much ! i love this game !

@dreamtrap

strange... out of 10 games i lose 2 of them for sure .... specially the ramp on the left side of the boat going to the right... the ball sometimes flys off and disappears behind the "casters club" where you lock the balls ... you only have to hit the ramp hard enough and the ball is airborne :-P

i play it with vp9.15 no mods whatsoever straight from the download

gogo69 - I also had issues with balls flying off ramps on the right side (usually into the bumpers) Used a similar solution to yours. Works great. I will have to give Kiwi's fix a try as well.

Just tried this version today. I am getting the balls flying off the ramp as well. No problem as I can do the code fix.

My son mentioned that he thought the ball, after being launched from the ball lock, should speed around the wire form and fly towards the left flipper and not drop straight down at the end of the wire form.

He swears there is not supposed to be an angle down at the end of that wire form like there is on this version.

Anyone else care to confirm?

No, not only on but also off.
This change makes the lights operate properly.
