I tested the latest build with my cab. My cab runs under winxp with a Radion HD7770 with the latest drivers and I couldn't find any issues so far.

Even on my develop pc (win7, ATI 6570) I have no problems so far....strange...

ATI cards from before the 5xxx series have always been known to have issues.  Luckily, those cards are pretty old now & most people have 5xxx, 6xxx, or 7xxx, which should work great.  Have to wonder if those having issues have 4xxx or older cards.

There are decal image issues with Scared Stiff GI8 version at least on the apron that I experience at least on two different systems.  I've verified on two systems, both Windows 7 32-bit and Nvidia driver version 306.97.  it's probably good to test on the most challenging tables like ones that have lot's of lighting and alpha ramps with also maybe some of the legacy stuff like the image decals (SS GI8 seemed to do fit the bill).  This was with both 460 and 467 with no forced AA.

No, as I as it doesn't make any sense to mess with settings when they are the same as when 445 or older variants are used and no problem is produced (i.e. problem follows the version differences / new build - all else being equal).  Even if it did yield different results, it's still going to indicate a problem with the version and not related to settings alone.

This is what happens to me with ATI card.

vp915.png

The red light on the left is half lit.
Front of the flipper there are white squares,I tried without lights and white boxes are gone.
The apron has extra lines, black and white.
The plungher has a white box.
When I launch the same table for the second time VP crashes (rev467).
Missing the side of the bumper (rev467).

Edit : The bumper cap is a mix of the color of the cap and the side (rev467).

And the same DecalText problem as Bob said.

Thanks

Max

The apron is made with Decal, with a ramp the problem goes away.

Win XP SP3 and Vapor-X HD 5770

Thanks

Max

This should be fixed now with rev 471, was an error introduced during the render state abstraction..

And I'm not at my computer currently, so any new build will have to wait a bit, maybe even tomorrow morning :)

Cool, thanks for sorting that out. I'll test it out on my rigs when it's compiled and available for download.

Rev 474 much smoother on MM on win7 64bit. it's still a little choppy with ball disappearing briefly after collision with drawbridge. However this is only slight. Enabling software FXAA reduces my avg FPS from ~640 to ~260. The game play becomes choppier and in one instance I've have both flippers disappear on table load/initialisation remained invisible in the rested position. I however, have not been able to reproduce this. This version is improving rapidly. P.S what sort of FPS are ppl getting on cabs with b2s and ledwiz force feedback in MM (JP)?
