The ball gets stuck on the Gate1.
Move down the gate of 1 (y 553, instead of 552).

Thanks

Max

I'll do ya one better, it is more likely an issue with the 'supports' box being checked, as that can cause similar issues, so I will go ahead and uncheck the 'supports' box for all the other gates on the main playfield too. Next update will also include a small graphical fix for the outlanes where the T would disappear on the left outlane, and the E would disappear on the right outlane when the gi flashers went off (in addition to a couple other small items). I also plan on including my 26 step plunger animation (0-25) since there's no need to worry about how many alpha ramps are in an animation anymore.

Will probably upload it later this evening unless there are any other issues that are reported.

When it is working, it should show 'reflections' of up to 3 balls, as I don't think there are any more than that on the playfield at any one time.

You can actually have four balls on the playfield. Vanish a ball, and then start multi-ball, and voila: Four-ball.

Might not make any difference though. It would be pretty tough to have all four up there and viewable by the mirror. I was unable to get more than two up there at a time while I was trying.

In that case, I will make it possible to have 4 reflections... very minor change to accomplish, so why not? biggrin.gif

In the original table the gate is located at y53, you have added 500 units to the mirror, and the sum is 553.
Of course uncheck the supports is the same thing.

Thanks

Max

Cheers for the work on this koadic, it's a great little mod and the effect is class. Definitely adds more depth to the backwall as well as just being a cool feature smile.gif

While not related to the mirror effect, the only thing I wish could be added is a sound effect when the ball hits the outside if the trunk (not entering), even if it's just a dull thud. I tried to do this just for my own satisfaction but there's so many objects forming the rotating trunk it's difficult to pin down the correct one to trigger a 'hit'. Would you have any ideas on how I could accomplish this koadic?

Thanks again for the upload! good.gif

If you have the sound, send it to me and I'll see what I can do with it. I'm sure I can figure something out.

but in real life, you don't hear anything when you hit the trunk anyway. It's soft plastic and doesn't make any noise at all. But I do miss the metal clink it makes when you shoot it in the trunk. Like throwing money in a glass bowl.

I know CptNeo, I remember this from my games also... but in VP it seems like it would fit.

Wasn't suggesting koadic add it to the mod but was after guidance on how I could add it myself and it does not seem standard, like say adding a sound to a target.

It would be the sw85 hit event
so search for sub sw85_Hit

And add the sound to that subroutine

Probably, JP has used a wrong name of the sound, "WallHit" missing in Soud Manager.
If you look at line 727 of the script, find the wall "sw85" with sound missing "WallHit", just change the sound with another in the Sound Manager (for example "plastichit").
The wall sw85 closes the entrance of the Trunk.
The Wall136 is located behind the sw85, for the sound even from this wall, add this code after line 727, and select "Has Hit Event" in the properties of the wall.

CODE
Sub Wall136_Hit:PlaySound "plastichit":End Sub

Edit : I am not an Englishman,I have to lose a bit of time with the translator.
Re-Edit : and I tested this change.

Thanks for the mirror Mod.
I' m a 4:3 Desktop user and has changed the values to make a 4:3 version.
If the ball lost by the middle, I got a grafic bug. An image of the ball is between the two flipper. The image of the ball will disappear when the next ball lost by the middle.

Does anyone have any advice?

Shrink the table a bit. The drain is offscreen thus the ball leaves an artifact when it goes off screen.

Or move the drain and wall behind it further up the table

Glad you like it kruge99 biggrin.gif

And bolt, if you want you can get rid of the black bar on top that I see in your first screen shot (if you haven't already), even though I said it was needed in the notes (only for FS), because you have converted it to 4:3 the ball will leave the trigger area and be destroyed before it will go off screen up top, so therefore there is no need for that masking bar up top.

And eventually, I will get around to uploading the updated version.. unless I decide to do a little more work in the mirror section for desktop users as I kinda skimped out on the pop bumper as it wasn't needed for the FS version. smile.gif

Just adjust the YScale and YOffset... try 1.215 for the YScale and -10 for the YOffset, and if you want to keep the same scale ratio, you can bump the XScale to 1.162
