ok download what you said and thats nice love the options but i just noticed now that i have the new FP Lanch when the tables starts to load and gets stuck i see a grey VP pinball on bottom task bar ........ now when i click it the square visual pinball randy davis box opens and then i see 7 or 8 old tables i no longer have it looks like its trying to find the table from a old file and cant becuz its not there i have reinstaled VP 9.1.2 full but dose VP hold cookies?? in the .exe or why would it be looking and have saved old tables i no loger have in my tables file i thought they was deleated allso if there is cookies or what ever how can i delete them i run a system clean once a day that removes old files internet files and i thought cookies unless there stored somewhere in VP .....lol this is wearing me out Worship.gif

I could be wrong and am just guessing here, but it sounds like your Hyperpin xml file is looking in the wrong place.
I am not at home right now but I think the path is Hyperpin/Settings/Visualpinball.
Then right click and open with notepad. See if the path for Visual Pinball tables is set correctly.

i went threw the settings overview that i printed out and every this seems right i did notice that at the very top of the VP xml file it says <?xml version=1.0?> mine said that and standalone=true i opend with note pad and it said yes instead of true i set it to no and it went back to <xml version=1.0?> but that didnt seem to matter the same table worked but the others didnt im stumped i know all the words match and there all right but it cant seem to find the table folder or the tables in it cuz one table works fine for example i have </game>
<game name="Back to the Future">
<description>Back to the Future (Data East 1990)
<manufacturer>Data East</manufacturer>
<year>1990</year>
<type>SS</type>
</game>

vp table name Back to the Future allso all media files are named and work fine table back glass wheel art even table video i have VP VP912 and VP_9_0_2 set to run as admin in nt4.0 svc pack 5 and so is HP and FP launch and FP Launch 4-7 every thing seems to work but it will not load a table and with that said im getting tierd of typing lol thanks so much one other thing is when i put .vpt after table name in VP table folder HP says it cant find Back to the Future.FPT

you need to have vp running fine with all tables before you start playing with hyperpin

check installation guide for vp on top of the screen for setting vp

have you downloaded the hyperpin xml editor ?

there is a button there called fix xml, use it.

even if the xml looks 100% right it may not be, i have had issues before.

This is normal.
Hyperpin always says this, fooling a lot of people into thinking it is looking for a Future Pinball file.
That is just the way it is coded so don't worry about the .FPT extension.

this is vp error not hp error - so you don't have all tables running fine in vp

do you have several versions of vp? you might be testing vp with one version and running hp with another

you should use just one - 912, move all other versions somewhere else or delete them

yeah - you probably have new vp named vpinball912.exe and old one vpinball.exe

rename vpinball.exe to vpinballold.exe and copy 912 to vpinball.exe

Make sure you rename the latest vp.exe to vpinball.exe hyperpin needs to look for that exact exe name

They are right about the vpinball.exe
That is what Hyperpin is looking for. It will not run VP912.exe or whatever. The newest file must be renamed to vpinball.exe.
