you have only half of number one?
never saw that problem, try experimenting with more segments

but more segments takes more resources
you can save some resources if you run backglass in 16 bit color

to edit uvp files i have to disable second screen - i can edit uvp files only if i have only one active screen
don't know if this is normal and known behavior or not

Thats strange Blur.
I just go to the UVP folder and click on any uvp to bring up the window, then select the one I want.
Dont have to disable the 2nd screen, it opens and edits on the primary screen.
Save it as uvp, close the window, then load the table and play it to check it.
Your using xp too arent you?

Never seen half digits before either,
only just changed mine 2 days ago from 7 to 9 segments. Worked fine.

Also in the UVP, change the spacing to 3, and to 120%. (scores, not credits)
This fills this displays up nicely.

How do you 'edit' a UVP file? whtflag.gif

Theres also a tutorial that comes with the UVPServer, should be in the HP folder.
Even has pictures.

@vidmouse this table takes unusually long time to load and unload.

do you know what could be the reason?

When i exit table vp just takes long time to close.

I could never get the UVP to work for this table and I added the subroutine, the timer, etc. The table would load but the UVP program itself would pop up and that was it. I used the UVP from FD.

uvp works without problem for me

you know you have to set uvp name to match description in xml?
and names are case sensitive so watch out

Well I know it works then which is good to know - has to be a problem on my side. Are you using the Genie table (no score) or the other - or does that make a difference? I have the no score downloaded since I didn't wan the score to appear on the upper part of the playfield.

Thanks!

I think it would be nice to see this table get the vp912 treatment. It really needs a little layback lovin'.

This is the first I've heard of this one... shouldn't take any more time than
the 4:3 version of Genie in VP8.

Maybe run task manager and see what else you have running, and
try again?

@Dazz i have layback view set already smile.gif
I'm using - 0 30 60 270 1,35 1,7 -514 20
You have to also fix position of images on the backglass.

@vid - it is not some process on my pc since i load in normal time many other vp tables from that time, like amazing spiderman, panthera, sinbad, pinball pool, and many others. Actually all other tables load fast. Looks like some veeery big image is loading and unloading when i start and exit this table, or you are allocating some vary large field in memory?
I will measure loading times tonight, and export all images to see if there is some that is very large.

i've tested a bit more
it is not loading time that is problem - it is closing time
when i close the game outside of hyperpin game closes instantly BUT - then i have to wait around 30 seconds to get vp editor working again
in hyperpin it looks like this - table exits and returns to hyperpin instantly and you can go to other table and load it, but old vpinball.exe is still runing in the background for another 30 seconds making everything slow

you could see it just as temporary slowness of HP but actually it is vp that is doing something big on close of the table in the background
i did not see it on other tables
it is very annoying if you are changing incl, fov and layback cause every time you change some number you press play and check position and then wait 30 sec just to get back to editor

same here with me on win 7 64bit and 2 screens

No backglass with VP and the window on top of Genie

yet I do not have Hyperpin on C:

does it have to be a complete Hyperpin-file-structure or just the UVP in c: ??? (would be too large for my drive)

HERE is my solution:

" remove ALL & from ALL HP xmls - not just from your tables - from all tables, if there is one &, none table will work with uvp "

found on hyperspin...
