Glad y'all like this one.
I'm running only 1-screen, hence I've been releasing "scored" FS's.
From now on I'll see if I can release 2 versions when I do FS's,
one with and one without score.

Side note: when you upload content, can you upload 2 zip files
to the same entry? Was wondering about that vs making 2 posts
for score/no-score

Works fine for me.
http://vpforums.org/...ost/96/test.jpg

Lets see... I added

' Set Controller = CreateObject("VPinMAME.Controller")
Set Controller = CreateObject("UltraVP.BackglassServ")

and this to the Init section
.Hidden=1

this to the bottom and a timer entitled LEDs with interval 50.

Sub Leds_Timer()
Dim ChgLED
ChgLED = Controller.ChangedLEDs(&Hffffffff, &Hffffffff)
End Sub

then in the hyperpin visual pinball.xml

<game name="Genie (Gottlieb 1979) FS">
<description>UVP Genie</description>
<manufacturer>Bally</manufacturer>
<year>1979</year>
<type>SS</type>
</game>

Of course you need the backglass, uvp file, etc.... hope this helps.

Wootsauce. I thought I'd done it all right, but I went back and checked and had put the hyperpin info in wrong for my filenames.

When I play this game, the DMD will not display the 1 (ones) digit.

Example, like this:

Score: 100,100 - Appears like this 00, 00
Score: 121,100 - Appears like this 21, 00
Score: 129,900 - Appears like this 29,900

Anyone know how to fix this?

THANKS!!

Also in the UVP, change the spacing to 3, and to 120%. (scores, not credits)
This fills this displays up nicely.

The place to start learning how to create a UVP backglass is over at the Hyperpin Support forums in this helpful post: from bent98.

How do you 'edit' a UVP file? whtflag.gif

1. The file UltraVPServer.exe must reside in this folder...C:\HyperPin\ Find that file and open it. Also, there is a Readme file located in that same folder. Read it.

If you use any other version of the UltraVPServer.exe file located anywhere else on the computer, it really messes everything up, so be sure you are using the file from the correct location.

2. Make sure that yout backglass image and .uvp file for the table you want to edit have the exact same name. Like this:

C:\HyperPin\Media\Visual Pinball\Backglass\ Game123 (Gottlieb 1979).png
C:\Pinball\HyperPin\UltraVP\Game123 (Gottlieb 1979).uvp

After you open UltraVPServer.exe a simplistic window will appear with two yellow icons. Click on the file open Icon and open the .uvp file you wish to edit.

Like this:

C:\Pinball\HyperPin\UltraVP\Game123 (Gottlieb 1979).uvp

3. After you are finished editing the .uvp file, save it.

*******IMPORTANT **** Before you edit, find the .uvp file and save it somewhere so you have a backup in case you mess up when you edit.

It is good to open this file in windows and close it once before running in Visual Pinball or Hypoerpin. If you accidently open this file from some other location on your computer, be sure to open the version in this location:

C:\HyperPin\UltraVPServer.exe

That will clear everything back out.

If you are getting the UltraVPServer.exe window appearing on top of your table, then you must:

1. Close VP and HP.

2. Open the file from this location only using windows:

C:\HyperPin\UltraVPServer.exe

3. Close the file using windows.

The next time you open the tabel using VP or HP, the UltraVPServer.exe should be underneath the table.

Thanks again Blur & Dedrok_V!!

The ones (1) digit appears now, but----

It looks like this:

|
|

Instead of like this:

|
|
|
|

I think this is a seperate issue.

Is there a way to fix that?

you have only half of number one?
never saw that problem, try experimenting with more segments

but more segments takes more resources
you can save some resources if you run backglass in 16 bit color

to edit uvp files i have to disable second screen - i can edit uvp files only if i have only one active screen
don't know if this is normal and known behavior or not
