Did we find a sloution for this yet? I've read all 18 pages of this thread and I haven't had any luck. Backglass won't close after exiting table in Hyperpin. I start a new table and it follows me like a bad case of herpes. I tried going with the db2s but that leads to a comedy of errors. Anyone? thanks

Table name: Cirqus_Voltaire_DBS

DBS name: Cirqus_Voltaire_DBS

Controller Selection - Visual Pinmame

Options - Launch B2S Backglass (checked)

If you are using hyperpin you need to uncheck 'launch backglass'

If you are using the included b2s then you need to turn it off in the table options and change the names to end in _B2S not dbs and let hyperpin open and close backglass..

I'm sorry I don't know where the DBS came from they actually end in B2S like they should. I turned it off in table options and now the backglass doesn't appear at all. I've tried every combintation of controller selection and options and I either get an error, the backglass won't launch or the backglass won't go away. Is there something in the script that needs to be changed ?

Table name: Cirqus_Voltaire_B2S

B2S name: Cirqus_Voltaire_B2S

If the table ends in _B2S.vpt, then hyperpin should automatically launch the matching _B2S.exe, and close it upon exiting the table. If you force a b2s backglass launch, and the table ends in _B2S.vpt, then both the table and HyperPin will launch their own copy of the exe, and when you close out only the one opened by HyperPin will get closed.

I kid you not. It's not behaving as it should. I even downloaded the table again just to be sure and the same things are happening. When I set it like this (below) the backglass doesn't appear, only the editor screen.

Table name: Cirqus_Voltaire_B2S

B2S name: Cirqus_Voltaire_B2S

Controller Selection - Visual Pinmame

Options - Launch B2S Backglass (unchecked)

strange, i just installed the 1.4, and the mech redundant sounds can't be disabled with the f6 option, i mean it has no effect, sounds are still there

I actually thought I fixed it from how it was... before, almost all sounds were disabled regardless of if they were specified (except a few select sounds that didn't use the new routine), except for the ones handled through the core vbs, while the new update should have fixed that so if the sound wasn't specified in the array, it should actually play like it should...

I'll take another look at it here in a bit.

Alright, discovered that while I fixed the routine responsible for either playing or not playing the sound, the defined sounds were wrong (along with a few other minor items)... The were listed as fx_flipperupx, fx_bumperx, and fx_slingshotx instead of fx_flipperup1/fx_flipperup2, fx_bumper1/fx_bumper2/fx_bumper3, and fx_slingshot1/fx_slingshot2. This didn't make a difference previously, as anything using the sound routine was not played when the feedback sounds were disabled. I have that fixed now and will send a copy to Aaron so he can update the table, but making the listed changes your self will accomplish 90% of the fix.

I'm relatively new to VP's world but I've read many post about performance!

My specs is Q6600, 4GB, Geforce 8600gts 256mb, 24" led monitor@1080p 32bit, and all the tables in VP and FP runs perfectly, some tables has some stuttering but playable.

This version of Cirqus Voltaire is really unplayable in the hot moments, when Flashers and Ringmaster moves and lights.the fps goes down to 10-15.

In othersituation the ball stutters almost always.

Ok my pc is not a Gamer-Pc, but original JP version in FS works like a charm, so how can I make this version more playable?

P.s. : btw  only for fun I'm working on a 3d model for the Ringmaster...don't know if it will become perfect, but I'm trying.

This is a preview image:

With VP being based on DX7 (for now) and needing pretty beefy hardware to run any newer tables flawlessly with lots of alpha ramps or primitives, I think your main issue is going to be with the 8600gts...

and maybe not only the 8600gts but his 256mb.

I've temporaly solved by setting VP in [email protected] cannot see differences from the 32bit version

I have 1.4 and flipper is getting stuck up or down for short periods at random.
