I got the delay working by setting it to 5000, it brought the player to focus.  I was never able to get this working before, thanks devs

Nice... I'm glad it's working for someone.  What version of Windows do you use Slydog?

Nice, any idea what game that is? if it's even the same game, but that backbox and cabinet inside both look a lot like my Gottlieb system 1 machines.

For those where the FS workaround doesn't work, can you tell me what version of Windows and what type of processor do you use? I had only time to test this feature under windows 10 and not on my cab that is running Windows 7. Anyway you should set a waiting time between 5000-10000 if you have a real slow machine you have to go higher.

Hey fuzzel... I'm on Windows 8.1 with an intel i5.  I tried a range of settings from several ms to 30k and several in between without any luck.

Ok I attached a test version (exe only). Please test it if that works better for you...

Hey fuzzel... that one does work for me!  Even on a slow loading table I can set this one as low as 4k ms and it works.  Again, I'm running Windows 8.1.  Now, we just need to get Windows 7 sorted for HF and the rest.

Thanks for continuing to work on this, fuzzel.  Most appreciated.

*edit*  Well, I started another slow loading table and it did not work.  Even with the value set as high as 20k.  The first table, that worked, was Demolition Man, and the one that didn't work was Black Hole.

ok another test. I changed the way how the alt+tab is sent to the system. It's really strange... It seems that there is a problem under Win8 when you want to send alt+tab from an application. Microsoft changed some security settings in Win8 in such a way that you have to add special security properties to your application and also you have to sign it. But now it seems to work under Win8.1 so I guess that M$ changed it from Win8 to 8.1!? But all this doesn't explain why it doesn't work under Win7.

Ok, I think I figured it out... it appears, for me, that "run as administrator" is actually preventing it from working.

If I have it on, both tables fail to switch... if I have it off, both tables work.

Ah oh yes that is important. If you want to use this feature you need admin rights.
@Haunted: can you please test both versions under admin rights?

Actually.... just to confirm, fuzzel... admin rights is actually what is breaking it.  I also just tried with fsSwitch2 and it is the same thing.  If I turn admin rights on, it does not work.

So, both versions work for me... as long as I do not have admin rights on.

rev2762 is up:

- use different input method for alt+tab switching (works under win7/64bit on my cab)
- really tell (and do) what forcedisableb2s is supposed to do

Thanks, fuzzel... is that the same as the second test method, above?  (FsSwitch2)

The only reason I ask is that the first test method (and I have no idea the difference between the two) seems like it worked more consistently when launching from PinballX.

*edit*  Looks like I had to turn off  "start as admin" in PinballX as well.

Ok, thanks... with "start as admin" turned off on the .exe for VP and PinballX everything is working great.  Thanks again for taking this on.

ok this version with the true FS delay is now working for me :)
like dryboz point out... not all tables are going to work...I tested a few tables and it working fine.... but a table like CV with the hi-res B2s... doesnt work at any delay setting...

but the bottom line is, its working 99%.... thanks for putting the time into this feature....
