Both tables uses the same rom. And LE means Limited Edition, and it was a remake made by Chicago Gaming Company, with extra moving leds on the saucers and some other extras. It is the close I could get to that table without having the right rom.

the remake does not have the home rom and you want the home rom for some things.

The saucers are blown out for me when they light up.  I tried adjusting bloom to 0.5 to even as far as 0.01 and 0 to no effect.  Any ideas?  I'm using VPX 10.8 RC4.

I'll update the table when VPX8 is released. The flashers are too strong since in an older beta they were too weak, but later that bug was fixed, so now they are really too strong. So, you'll need to wait until VPX8 is released. I could update the table now, but maybe I'll need to fix something else, so it is best to wait :)

Ah I see. No problem. Thanks for the quick reply and the amazing table.

Probably a minor typing issue, since modulated flashers are used,

solenoid 18 is duplicated, should be solenoid 17 and 18.

It's always a pleasure to play with this table.

Thanks!

UPDATE

5.5.1 Updated 17.12.2024
- Fixed solenoid typo. Thanks, kiwi, for the info.

The error only was visible if you changed the modulated flashers to non modulated.

Hi,

I'm just about to update your Attack from Mars (Midway 1995) tabe version 5.0 to 5.5.1
With version 5.5.1 the sound sometimes stutters. I don't have this problem with version 5.0
With your other tables, for example Deadpool version 5.5, the problem does not occur

I also tested the whole thing on my tablet. I have the same problem there.
Is the error known or is it just my system?

If necessary I have to fall back on an older version but the lights in version 5.5.1 just look better.

Regards
haggi

Try updating vpinmame to version 3.6. It may work better since the table uses the modulated flashers.

Or you can turn off the modulated flashers by changing the line 30 from:

Const UseVPMModSol = True

to

Const UseVPMModSol = False

haggi:

I thought I had done this but apparently I did something wrong during the update.

After a new update, everything now works as it should.

Thanks for the hint otherwise I would have searched even longer

UPDATE

5.5.2 Updated 09.07.2025
- Updated the physics to my Rev 4.3.1

I simply loaded the new updated materials, the playfield/flipper settings and the updated flipper code (which simple makes the flippers not so bouncy).
Actually there are just small changes in the values, but I think it makes the tables play better :) The rubbers are more bouncy and the flippers more hard.

Great updated JP

I can fell better the ball, mainly in the Flippers.

It looks like heavy than before and I can control better.

Even in others parts of playfield.

Thank you

JP: Was the physics adjustment only applied to the LE version of the table? Or was the standard version simply renamed to 5.5.2?

Cheers

Both tables have been updated, but I see I forgot to rename the 551 version :) I'll reupload the table with the right number in the filename :D

Hello.
As shown in the image, ufo1 is displayed lowered. What should I do?
Deleting nvram doesn't help.
It works fine when I run the version 4 table on VP10.7.4.

Windows 10
VP10.8.0 rev2051
I'm using VPinMAME-sc-3.7.0-46-2b48173 (32-bit and 64-bit).

That's just the viewing angle. In v4 I used an inclination and POV of 49, and in this v6 I have used an inclination and POV of 46, so the view is a little more from the top. So you may change the view settings if you prefer the other view.
