If region optimization is checked than the Antialias bug comes back (i.e. need that option cleared to fix the issues when AA is forced on)

Yes, 588 works quite well, I haven't found any bug for now, but I only have tried with my portable (a core2 with an intel graphics). I'll tried more on Sunday with my desktop computer with the nvidia card.

i know.. but unfortunately i wouldn't bet on us keeping this option long term..

it makes some things so INCREDIBLY messy in the rendering pipeline..

It would be very cool if the global setting can be overwritten with a "per table" script addition for some of these features.  This would prevent many tables from being broken/glitchy in situations such as this.

That would certainly help alot. It would help me alot by setting the color depth to 16-bit / 32-bit per table.

eg. : T2 Chrome VP916 FS 1.06 which only works on 32-bit, while other tables on 32-bit have graphical glitches, mostly with ramps, etc...

I have had lots of small hiccups on the latest builds but everything works real good on the 588 rev on my Win 7 amd setup. Nice work. Can't be far off from an official build now  :otvclap:

New feature alert :D

I added the layer feature to rev 590. Now you can use up to 8 different layers and assign elements to each of them. If you want to hide an element(s) simply

deselect the layer from the menu. Because of this feature I have removed the unnecessary hide/unhide option in this revision.

and because it is so funny to update the editor I added apply/undo option to the rotate/scale and translate dialog to rev 591 :). If you press 'apply' the dialog won't close but the values will be applied

to the seletect element. You can 'apply' the settings multiple times and with 'undo' you can undo the last applied values until all 'applies' are undone. 'Cancel' reverts all 'applies'.

588 worked for a few days then started stuttering ......the table loads but the music stutterrs, plunger dont work or the play and music stutters..... unchecked and checked all options and  "Region updates", closed then restart and still stuters.......rolled back to 912, 913.914 and 474....912, 913, 914 and 474 is fine.....anybody else have stutter in 588?

Fuzzel, it's awesome to read about these new features and it's wonderful to get some new stuff in the editor. Of course I do not want to build up any pressure but is this version 591 available anywhere? Right now it's not available in the daily builds dropbox (last one 588) and I would love to test (and work with) the new layer feature.

The latest rev is 593 which has some small bug fixes and adjustments for the layer handling. I think the layer handling can be improved. I'm curious what you guys say about this ;)

Btw the layers have three additional options:
- 'Merge All' this will merge all elements of each layer down to layer 1
- 'Select All' this will activate all layers, so all elements are visible

- 'Select None' this will deactivate all layers and hides all elements
