Could you please tell me if LeftFlipperTop and LeftFlipper are linked/attached together in VP 10.8 ? idem with RightFlipperTop and RightFlipper

EDIT : I'm wondering why the new flipper code affects LeftFilpper only. Why not RightFlipper too ?

Not only flipper physics, but also flipper graphics as I noticed the LeftFlipperTop and RightFlipperTop are not moving at all under specific circumstances, while the bottom parts (LeftFlipper and RightFlipper) are affected.

 

I've cloned the flippers code from v5 for checking the eventual benefits of this new code within v4.
It worked except for the top of both flippers fgiven the coder has removed the lines 64 and 65 in v5 :

To fix this flippers top issue , I've added the lines 149 ~ 151 to the v4 :

Not sure what you are doing, but this isnt a table issue
you are the only person having these issues, i think you need to look at fixing your vpx installation

 

i can run this table error free on 6 different machines, 4 of them being pretty crappy machines at that

Version 4 is for VPX7, but version 5 is for testing the new possibilities of VPX8. The flippers in version 5 only will work under VPX8, also the flashers in version 5 will only work under VPX8. So don't start mixing script parts from one table to the other. If you are using VPX7 then use version 4. If you want to test VPX8 then use version 5.

However, the whole part of the Real Time Flipper adjustments code + my modification is running OK within the script v4.

As I said: do not mix v4 with v5. There was nothing wrong with v4. V5 is for testing the new commands available for VPX8.

This means v5 is not "better" than v4, it only has a few different ways to do the same things. 

v4 used a real time timer to animate the flipper tops and other things, like the diverter. Also it had the old fading lights routine to fade the flashers.

v5 uses a new command to animate the flipper tops and the diverter and a new way to fade the flashers by linking the flashers to lights.

So, stop mixing v4 and v5 scripts

What's the difference between Attack from Mars v4.zip and Attack from Mars LE v4.zip? In other words: What means "LE"?

LE stands for "Limited Edition"
It use a different Rom, the LE version.
Afaik some modifications in gameplay, modes, dmd visuals

In both scripts the same rom is used, "afm_113b".
