Koadic that was fast :)

Btw I have the same problem as marauder but not around the plunger area. For me it only happens on some tables and only in some

regions on the table. The image is from Monster Bash but it happens on Tales From The Crypt too. I guess it started around rev 480+

LoadedWeapon, I run an ATI 7770 HD gfx card in my cab with the newest beta drivers. The screenshot was done running the 497 but it also happens with 498.

I never tried the FXAA option and region updates are always on.

I have a question about the freeimage.dll-file thats also on the dropbox. Is this something that is needed for 9.15 to work properly?

Does the dll work both for fs and desktop?

VP uses the dll for image loading and processing.... so yes you need the dll even for the upcoming 9.15
it doesn't matter what kind of table you want to play (fs/desktop).

i checked some older revisions for the ball glitches and for me it started around rev 472. so it'snot a driver issue, i will check the code later what is responsable for this. oh and btw i have the same glitch on CFTBL that marauder mentioned

Hmm maybe something to do with the way ATI draws the images. And like you said if it wasent there before something in the code causing it. Im very happy with Rev. 498 I tried over 50 tables last night and they ran just as good if better than reev.442 I changed out my main exe for the new one. Keep up the great work looks like you really getting close for an official release version.

That problem Marauder reports looks exactly like the problem I'm having when I enable ball shadows - I just tested it on 498, it didn't change. It doesn't happen on all tables, on Bodydumps' Deadly Weapon the ball shadow works and looks fine. On Robocop not so much.

Edit: Can't reproduce it on CFTBL, must be another issue.

That could be why I never seen it I don't run ball tags or shadows..

Can someone comment on the issue some of us have with the later NVIDIA drivers. The (big) issue is that with the more recent drivers VP can make the PC almost hang (just very very slow). It is so slow that I usually have to disconnect the PC (taskmanager or even a mousepointer takes minutes to appear), uninstall NVIDIA driver and use the 270 version again. I am really tempted to try latest NVIDIA driver, but the hassle of 'hanging', disconnecting and reinstalling just makes me avoiding it.

Thanks for the continuous work on forwarding VP guys (Toxie, Koadic, Fuzzel). Your work is appreciated and some cool things have been added that are really nice auxiliary aspects like the new feature in the editor to see the changes happen as you make them on the table layout as you adjust things like inclination, FOV, layback, and the scaling and positioning. This used to be a pain and take launching the table many times to work out (I rotate to a 90 degree set-up for my mini-cab so have to do it on every table). That new feature is a great time saver!

One thing that has remained broken / unfixed is the graphic glitches with alpha ramp redraws when using anti-aliasing. This issue first appeared in rev362 with the last version that it worked correctly on being rev360. I know some of you are familiar with this bug as I raised this issue and sent a couple PMs a while back. It's reproducible and can be seen as an example around the visor area on my recent PIN-BOT BMPR MOD of UWs great table. As discussed before, the order of redraws for alphas since rev362 is not playing nice with drop walls or even things like gates and spinners when AA is on. It would be great if this could be resolved / restored before the official release of VP915. It was very nice having this ability previously to use AA (hardware / forced from control panel) as FXAA has several issues (software and hardware – only XP as well) amongst simply the quality being arguably poorer (blurrier) than traditional AA.

I can PM you with further details and troubleshooting I've done if it would help you in assessing and fixing the problem. Thanks again for all your work on VP, everything you’ve added / improved, and attempting to move it to DX9, which understandably at times is going to yield some snags.

There's a thread discussing that over here: http://www.vpforums....topic=23572&hl=

As yet, no one seems to have isolated the problem, but pressing F3 to reset VPinmame usually gets passed it. When it happens, one of your processors will be running at 100%. Guns and Roses is a table that consistently has the problem for a lot of people. Personally, I had no issues with 314.07 under 9.14 except for GnR.  That said, when i tried 314.22 about 8 or 9 tables started to freeze (as they do under 9.15).

And did you do a clean install or just normal? I tried a clean install and GnR ran correctly just once before freezing up again. Congo also froze.
