Welcome to the VP10 version of Funhouse - made by Williams in 1990. A true classic pinball with every single image and detail modeled straight from my real Funhouse machine. After two years plus of development, Rudy is waiting to kick your ass! No stone left un-turned on this recreation folks. If its in the real machine, then you will find it in this table.
Thanks to Shoopity for allowing me to complete his awesome Funhouse WIP and extra thanks to Cyberpez for the tons of excellent 3D work and Rothbauerw for the complex scripting assistance. These guys worked some serious overtime on this table and I cant thank them enough for their contributions. Well done guys. These guys deserve major props and the table would not be what it is without them.
Be sure to check out the many options available for the table including the add-on playfield toys and various Rudy visual and sound enhancements. The random Rudy punch sounds are very amusing and will keep you laughing. :)

***Requires ROM FH_905H and VP10.6 Beta Minimum.***
Note: The PF reflections have been disabled purposely because this table is resource hungry and can negatively impact performance on lesser powerful machines. Every attempt has been made to optimize the table to run on lesser powerful systems.

***The very talented FH development team.***

LOL

My HS is around 18M or so which is very consistent with my real FH.

Here are some tips.

1. Million plus - Start Midnight Multiball and keep hitting the million plus shots into the trap door. Once you make a TD shot, shoot it up the main ramp to reopen the TD for a another multi-millions shot.

2. Start a Frenzy or even better a Super Frenzy(big friggin points here)  and then quickly lock the 2nd ball for Midnight multi-ball. Quickly put the 3rd ball in Rudys mouth and have multi-balls out there till Frenzy or Super Frenzy ends. Racks up multi-millions of points.

3. Keep hitting the Gangways to light the extra ball shots.

Hope you guys enjoy it. :)

Crap, I'm getting a fatal error: unable to create texture E_OUTOFMEMORY (0x8007000e: Ran out of memory) at RenderDevice.cpp:1114.

Any work around?

Sounds like your video card just barfed on itself. Again, this is a resource hungry table and it will require better than average system specs. Might try turning down the elements detail but I doubt it will help. What video card do you have?

I get the same error, the textures are huge, resize pictures could solve the problem.

Xenonph,

It is very much appreciated what you are doing to try to make the table more compatible for the entire community. Keep up the good work.  :dblthumb:

If resizing these images will resolve the errors that are popping up on folks machines, then the table will be fixed. Unfortunately, I will need to the folks in the community that are plagued with the issue, to find the solution. This is due to the fact that it runs correctly on my old as dirt budget system.

FTR...I am running a 2007 Dell T3400 workstation w/ Core2 Quad 3.0GHZ and 4GB RAM plus the Nvidia GTX760 video card. Hardly state of the art. LOL

So in the end, the team that developed the table would greatly like to resolve the issues so that as many as possible can enjoy it. Once the solution is found, it will be quickly rolled into the table and rev'd.  Apologies to the folks having issues.

The table works perfectly for me, and is outstanding!! I didn't need to reduce the image size for myself. I just saw kiwi's post and thought about the people who don't know how to reduce the image size or import into manager. I am not even sure if these reduced images will get rid of there fatal error. Maybe kiwi or someone who was getting the error can test these reduced images out to see if they fix their problem.

I also am running old computer. Older than yours. And it runs fine on mine.

Windows Vista 64 Bit (When it first came out over 12 years ago I think.)

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ 2.7GHz

5GB RAM

Nvidia GTX660 (Thanks to Slydog43)

You all really did a great job on this masterpiece.

Thank you Sir!!

Look great thanks for all the hard work everyone!

I had a few games and there is definitely a problem with the kicker of the saucer to the left of rudy .. the one fed by the yellow lane. It gets stuck there. If you nudge a few times while it is trying to kick it does come out but it got stuck there in every game , but not every time the ball lands there. Has anyone else had this issue. I have a strong machine and vpminmame is up to date and using VP 10.2

Honestly 5 images that are 2k should not be an issue.. if it is, then really those guys need to upgrade their hardware. :)

These 5  images were 4000 and over.

These were the only ones over 2048.

Xeno--thanks for your efforts to help those of us who cannot get this table to run. Unfortunately, when I get the memory error, the table crashes and I cannot get into the table to even try to use/import the images you provide

For me, I can open the table in the editor but the table errors out when I try to launch it. I will try to use Xenonph's resized images and try again. I will let everyone know how that goes.

Load a table into editor that does work for you, then quit to editor, Click the Preferences Tab, Then click Editor Options. Uncheck "Start VP with File Dialog open to directly play". Close the editor.

Now load Fun House and it should just load it into editor without automatically starting the table.

Hope this helps you Sir.

Nope--no love. I THINK I was doing it correctly. .....The new image shows up in the chart. I assume I'm supposed to delete the file that I am replacing.? That's what I did anyhow. Again, thanks for trying.

Unfortunately, this did'nt work for me. The huge size of the images remained the same.
