this is a another reskin I did, the base table was Bally Blackout by JP... the FP version had not so good graphics, so that was part of the motivation the other was my wife and I have a pumpkin carving party every year and want to showcase my newly build cab last Oct. so as a surprise to my wife and guests I did a table themed to the party... I collected countless images from the internet and some custom ones....I used what I thought were the best for the PF/plastics/BG.... I've now started moving these on to the VP conversion, using JP's Blackout as the base...  heres a pic of what it looks like so far in VP... right now its VP9.9... might try and do it in VPX....

Already had the FP version, glad to see the VP version!

BTW, I'm sending my kids to you and Talantyyr's house this Halloween, you guys seem to like carving pumpkins far more than I do! ;)

This is so cool, and I wish I had the skills to do something like this.  Is there a way (and a will) to share the table and perhaps the native graphics files so others could more easily do a similar conversion?  Kind of like the VP Music Template concept?

And, if this is all possible, a 20-step process that any noob can follow?   And then, templates like this for every global holiday and type of occasion?   lol -- I hope I'm not asking too much!   :pinnochio:

well really any table can be a template to make your own table.... first you export the blueprint as a guide to make your playfield, then export the plastics image from the manager, sure that as a template as the new plastics.... then turn off the rom sounds... add your own..... Voilà !!

speaking of this table... its almost time for our carving party, and now fist pin contest.... here's the poster made for it

I am so jealous of everyone's skills around here!  OK... I'll see if I can dig into Visual Pinball a bit more to see what I can do!

they are lights for the backglass

Player 1-4

the table I sent you still had  a WIP code for the backglass lights

if you don't care for the DT version,  just move all the 14 lights in the backdrop so that they are not in view.

i also posted a fix for the Blackout mode in the blackout WIP post.

Another workaround would be :

add the command to enable sound in script of the Blackout game

blackout.png

but then if you played Pumpkin Carving it would turn the rom sounds back off.... it would be a battle , the two tables use the same rom but one is off and one is on...

I don't see the point. Pumkin Carvin will disable the sound and Blackout will enable the sound.

This is no battle. It's just setting the correct parameter before starting the game, and this is done by scipt as supposed to do.

so are you saying before every game to go into the editor and change the value??.... most of us use frontend that sidestep the editor...

No, not before each game.  If this one line of script is added to the Blackout table when it is released ( ...Sounds = 1) then no on will have to touch the script.  Blackout will always have the original rom sounds enabled as expected.  So dyopp21 just needs to add this to the blackout script :)
