File Name: The Addams Family Gold Mod (VP9.2)

File Submitter: Aaron James

File Submitted: 15 Oct 2013

File Category: VP 9.x MOD Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): Melon, Aaron James, Koadic, 85vett, LoadedWeapon
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 2013
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

I am soooo happy this table can finally be released.
Thanks to Melon for the original, and a special thanks to JP Salas for tracking him down....lol.

This has been worked on for at least 6 months now, with several internal modifications and improvements.
There are way too many things to list on here that has changed...so I'll say the following :

Koadic, 85vett, LoadedWeapon, and I contributed to this mod.
Koadic and I were playing around with this first. I was doing my image modifications and physics changes and all that stuff, and he was putting in a new plunger system and changed walls and changing ramps and tons of other stuff.
Then it sat on the shelf for a few months until I shot it over to 85vett, who made so many changes i don't even know where to begin. He did the flashers with the help of JP Salas, added bear and fester mods and stuff.
He even redid the entire playfield! Quite a dedicated approach considering this was probably not going to ever be officially released cause we couldn't get a hold of Melon.
85vett had done lightning on Fester chair, but LoadedWeapon made it even more awesome by changing it to a more realistic look. It's just so cool to look at!!! ..almost 3D.

Anyways, enough of the jibber jabber, download it already and enjoy....it's long overdue!!!!!!!!

Looks and plays great!  Who came up with the choose controller part in the script? Very nice and saves time setting up table.

I'm still in awe that this is up for download tonight

for everyone to enjoy. I never thought this table would ever see

the light of day. Thank God (and JP, lol) that Melon was able to be contacted.

Bitupset also has a table video for this too.

Im sure he'll upload it soon.

Tip: a half pull on the plunger will get ya a skill shot ;-)

if you don't have a directb2s of this table. go to script and modify - "Const cController = 3" to 1.

Is there possibly an option to disable the lightning? I think the effect is cool, but I can see it losing it's charm at a certain point.

To remove the lightning all you will need to do is to comment out the flashers associated to them.  Been a while since I've looked at the table so don't recall exactly which alpha ramp names they were but you can click on them and it will tell you.  Then go into the script and comment out those two ramp in the flasher section.  I had to go into the office today or I'd just bring the table up and check those names.

This is one table where i'm keeping the original and the new! as out dated as the original is it is still well worth keeping as a non gold table! what other tables will get a facelift now that they are able to be updated? TOM? fish tales? not sure melons tables?

Rosve's version on FT is pretty good though.
