File Name: Q*bert's Quest
File Submitter: ClarkKent
File Submitted: 16 May 2013
File Category: VP 9.x MOD Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)
Author(s): TAB (original table design)
destruk (original scripting)
koadic (plunger, directB2S implementation)
serpiko (objects, primitives, collisions, fading lights)
bent98 (LedWiz)
bodydump (b2b, ball rolling sounds)
Clark Kent (improved appearance and gameplay)
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1983
ROM: Link to ROM
Media Pack: Link to Media Pack
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

Q*bert's Quest plays best with VP915 and above but should also work with older versions.

To get "shoot again" press F6 while playing and set Novelty to normal!

If it plays too easy just reduce the strength of the flippers.

Many thanks to JP for intensive help realizing this mod! Without him Q*bert would not leap as high as he does now! :)

Sparky70  If you are running B2S, you'll need to delete all the UVP stuff in the table script (all the way on the bottom) and delete the leds timer as well. That will fix it.

figured it out, had to delete the last section of text for the uvp score. i learned from black hole and haunted house, that it was causing problems with the table diplays.

it may not be necessary in the script to use UVP.

i personally am using the db2s backglass/sparky

Sub Leds_Timer()
Dim ChgLED
ChgLED = Controller.ChangedLEDs(&Hffffffff, &Hffffffff)
End Sub

fixed it at the same time you posted the reply.....lol.....thanks

It was a hard job to completely redraw the playfield. Completely designed in Adobe Illustrator as vectorized drawing to ensure best quality and easy repositioning of any objects on the playfield for any future versions or other pinball simulation software.

If someone has troubles with the LEDs code, just delete the last 4 lines in the script. But I do not plan to remove them by default as if somebody want to use UVP it's there...

Please don't speak on behalf of the author, let him answer this one.  My reason for asking is that I might offer to convert it for him if he doesn't think he can, so that many more people can enjoy his work.  Jackass.

I do.

Some of them to me just look better.

Even when I make a db2s it would be based on the UVP that I still use.

I make them just to have more options.

Of course, you can do any mod you want. It's absolutely free!

And if you can help to add some code you are welcome, too! :)
