Tales of the Arabian Nights VP91x3.2FS MOD

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VP 9.x MOD Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): haddonfield, grizz, jpsalas

Description:
graphic overhaulin /light mod
hi there,
here is my first mod of the jpsalas table
what`s new:
- a lot of new graphics
- alpha ramp light (4step)
- tweaking and rebuilding some objects
-adjustments in the lockball area and the ramp magnet
-this and that

I tested the table on two pcs and it looked good. Hope it will work for you too.I say this because I`ve worked with a lot of alpha ramps so there is the danger that your gc perhaps draws the planes in a wrong way.But we will see .
If it works for you, go and have a drink on me B)

The original PF drawing and gfx were made by grizz , I just added some reflections on the pf, some contrast and a little less grain on the djinn and so on... made a couple of new graphics like the ramp also. Mostly, I make an overhaulin on the old textures to give them a new glare:)
greetz,
haddonfield

you guys ROCK, thanks a lot haddonfield & JP! cool.gif

edit:
played some rounds and I love it - this table looks superb. Only thing is a "ball hang", see the pic... maybe you can fix that.

Astonishing gfx !!!
Shame my system isn't up to par anymore with these beautiful releases...
I can play it, but have to disable ball shadows and ball decals.

Great job on this haddonfield!!! The extra effects are quite subtle but add lots of Arabian atmosphere!!! smile.gif

In 30 mins plays I've had 2 ball hangs like Chris mentions above. The ball seems to roll up the left tiger loop, then run down into this pocket. Must be a gap in the wall somewhere?

Cheers again for sharing!!! good.gif

p.s. mucho props to JP and Grizz for the ace source! drinks.gif

Same here. Get like micro stutter almost vibrating ball all the time during play.
Dosen't matter if i got my ledwiz in the mix even!

Maybe my 960mb GTX260 finally found its conqueror here shutup1.gif
Or is it something I can do here? Ball decals/shadows did not work in my case! whtflag.gif

I noticed this too. If I can't fix the micro stutter on this table I will have to go back to the original version.
It's not all the time but when it happens it is noticeable.

I get no stutter on this table.

maybe try to set lamptimer interval to 45 instead 35 (like settingsons suggested otvclap.gif ) plus all the other little vp tweaks.

cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,

I know the lamptimer trick because it is new, but I'm not aware of the other tweaks you mention.

If you had a resume list of all of them, it would be great smile.gif

settingsons posted in his lamptimer thread also some other tweaks (like ddraw=0, disable win services, overclock cpu and gpu and so on...)

There are no easy "tricks" to speed up a table which uses alpha ramps, the only "trick" that will work is to reduce the number of alpha ramps, this is convert them to acrylic or solid. The fading lights impact on the speed is minimal compared to the alpha ramps.
