Hey There,
Here is a vpx update to my Black Hole table.

New Stuff...  First off, big thanks to wrd1972 and rothbauerw for helping me finish this one up... Without them, who knows when it would have been finished.  I do know it would not play nearly as well!!

Wrd helped rescale and resize both the upper and lower playfield.  (we rebuilt the lower twice to get the angle just right)  He also spent way too much time on the physics.. (trust me it’s a compliment)  I envy his attention to detail in that area.

Roth rescripted and cleaned up most of the code.  Took out all of my timer based hacks.

hauntfreaks Helped out with the lighting among other things I forget.  It was also his idea for the Blacklight multiball.

Leaf switches stolen from BorgDog.

Various bolts and screws from Dark and Zany.

Lots of new stuff by me..  New primitive plastics, gates, spinner, ball mod, etc, etc.

Again, thanks to wrd and roth for all their help, table testing and attention to detail!!!

**************************
Check script for options!!!!!
So many Options!!!!!
**************************

-----------------
See below for the old info from the VP9 version with notes of changes I made.  Again thanks to them, this table would not exist without that version or their help
-----------------
Black Hole was one of the first tables I loaded onto my cabinet and it rocked!! I played it a bunch then moved on to the other 300 or so tables.  Looking for another table to work on, I decided to give this one a go.  I'm happy with how it turned out and hope you will all enjoy it!!!!  This is a complete from-scratch build of it.

Things I did:
I started with only a manual and blank table.  I did have to peak at the old versions to figure out how couple of things worked.. (so thanks destruk, PataTrox and Mostly Decaf for your original tables).... it was mostly just A LOT of trial and error.

I did a redraw of both the lower and upper playfield from the ones TAB uploaded to the site. (Thanks!!)  Plastics I redrew from the best pics I could find.  Only things I didn't redraw are the space men and planets/asteroids..  those are taken from the best pics I could find.
----------------------------------------
Take a look at the top of the script... lots of options. (even more than before!!)
----------------------------------------
Old Credits and Thanks that still apply:
Thanks to the test team!!  The Loafer, Shadowsclassic, Nemo, Arngrim, dboyrecords, Zany.  With their help we squashed bugs and tweaked the playability.  They pushed me to make it the best looking and playable table we could.  So thanks again!!!!

Thanks to freneticamnesic, He helped get the lower bonus score working right!!!  He also did the primitive spring, re-entry tube and ball diverter!!!  (I did redo the spring for the VPX version)

Thanks to Zany for doing the primitive pop bumpers and flippers! He also did the window, much more windowy now :-) (new window model by me, but used Zany's texture)
Thanks to Arngrim for adding in DOF, and helping with the sound code!!  (Roth Updated the DOF code for the VPX version)

Thanks to all the Table Authors, Table Template Builders, Primitive Builders, etc. that have come before me.  It's AMAZING(!!!!!!!) what you have all done with this program.  I'd give you all credit but I'd never stop typing names.  Thanks!!!
 ----------------------------------------

If you find any bugs or oddities let me know and I'll do my best to get them fixed up.

Once again I hope you Enjoy!!!
 -cyberpez

Thanks to all involved, can't wait to play this. I remember playing the real table many years ago.

The glascover for the lower playfield has a wrong hight number for the lower part. Search for the glascover and set it to the same value as the upper hight. Not at the Cab so forgive me if i have named something wrong.

This is not a bug. This also happens on the real table. It came up in the beta thread for this table and cyberpez posted a video from youtube of it happening. I think they referred to it as moonwalking.

If that bug from the real table gets on your nerves you can still use this.

Yep, moonwalking is a feature. I think we have it pretty dialed in so it should not happen to often. I forget witch one, but either the left or right flipper knocks it off too.

After playing lower playfield the ball kicks over or through the wire gate located in the right outlane (its supposed to divert it into the right inlane} so it just drains using the blkhole7 rom...etc.

My guess is it was working the way it should, the gate was just not open.....

There are two ways to open the gate...

"easiest" is to complete the bank of drop targets on the left of the lower playfield..

second is to hit the switch next to the gate on the upper playfield when the arrow is flashing..... I forget how you get it to flash, but might be completing the 4 yellow spot targets.  Then you have to go straight into the lower playfield..  if you hit a bumper or sling or whatever it closes again.

Kept getting a VBScript error (terminated before initialized, check rom path) when trying to run blkhole2 or blkhole7, would not run till I put a copy of the version 1 rom (blckhole) in the rom folder...

Were you using the rom selector?

I use blkhole7 and blkholea and both work...

Yes, selecting in script Line 86.

The other roms work, but for some reason if the version 1 rom in not in the rom folder it fails no matter what is selected...

If I remove ver 1 from rom folder and have blkhole7 selected, it will fail on startup until I add the ver 1 rom back in...

Strange...

It's not strange. In order to save space your roms "rely" on each other. Instead of having some of the same files in both zip files. blkhole7 is needing files from ver 1.

You should read up on merged sets vs split sets.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Love the table! Just a quick question. This table seems to have some stutter as the ball goes around for me. It's the only table i've run across this with, have loaded several hundred. I have a 4790K Processor running at around 4.4ghz and a Nvidia 980ti GPU and 16gb of DDR3 ram. Should this be enough for this table not to stutter?  In VPX I clicked on the high end button with nothing added. Was just curious if this happens to you guys as well with this table? Maybe it's the swirling black hole backglass? Thanks.
