Here's a link to my Physmod5 version of JP's Theatre of Magic:

https://www.mediafir...tpkelbewnu0t5z1

Before downloading -> make sure that you know what PHYSMOD5 version of VP is:

http://www.vpforums....=32#entry266075

This version has all the changes from my latest "official" TOM MOD that I released a while ago.

So all credits from that release apply here. Mainly thanks to JP for the original version, koadic for the primitive trunk scripting, dark for the new 3D trunk model, Zany for the 3D flasher domes and shoopity for fixing the "trunk stuck" bug in the original script!

I have messed a LOT with the physics and I'm still not 100% happy but the table should play pretty well (and have no major problems). Please feel free to share any improvement ideas on the physics settings here!

As I have mentioned before -> I'm not releasing this table as a normal release because physmod5 is not part of any official VP version yet. Waiting for the VP10 :)

Enjoy!

Thanks for this great addition to the physicsMod library, which play so much better than regular VP I think.

Really Reall nice Teppo! :D

Minor issue here aswell...not sure how to solve it...maybe it's a physmod5 issue, but the ball got stuck between the bumper and the wall, and went crazy(generated som points though). :)

thank you teppotee for the release , only thing the pshycis of this table is realy nervouse (fast gameplay) , also flipper is bouncy when catching a ball that comes from above , postpasses are also harder to make ,the last freddy phycismod5 has a better feeling to it maybe you can compare them

hi! Thanks for a superb table! :D Frikkin awesome!

Sadly I get stutter while playing. mainly when the flashers goes.

No difference between the 9.9 version and this pm5.

Is there any way I can limit the workload of the table? Maybe change a timer or kill some lights or something?

Cheers!

No idea about the stuttering and I haven't really scripted any options to make it run better... butter smooth for me :) Hopefully someone else can help.

If the table plays too fast -> increase the "playfield friction" from the backdrop settings. You just need to find a setting that suits you best.

I just couldn't make the postpasses work on this table. I think it's because the table dimensions are a bit wrong (as JP has said himself) and the ball hits the slingshot post in the wrong angle. So it's not so much about the physics settings. I have tried the exact same settings as with Freddy but with no success. I don't know why sometimes 2 tables play differently with the same settings.

i tried to play with playfield friction, but i don't find a result satisfying, raising it ball speed is better, but ball still slows down drastically when it is going to his upper level, and that has an influence on his trajectoire, maybe 85vett can help?
and this version is missing the dof adds, if you can add them to it teppotee?

I'm done with the physics on this one... I got seriously frustrated at one point and can't find a way to make it play any better. I seriously don't understand why some tables play so differently even with same settings. Anyway I can't do any updates for this now. I'm on a work trip again with no access to VP.

Very nice and plays well ... I was able to play this table this past weekend and so it was fresh in my mind. This is what I came up with
Constant gravity = 1.1
Playfield Friction = 0.028

Also make sure that under on main options that the box for "Overwrite Global Settings" is not checked. This is just under the Alpha Ramp Accuracy slider.
These settings work well for slowing the ball down a bit but does not limit your shots off the flippers.
Also I can post a pic of my lay back settings if anyone cares.
Great work thank you

Played the phys5 mod, thx for posting.

First i not liked it. Preferred the Vp9.9 release. But have been playing around a bit and after Les73gTX posted some settings, i reduced both table slope to 4.5. With Les73gTX settings.

Played some great games with it.

Think it has more the Physmod5 feel, i was looking for.

Love this table!

Arngrim, just wanna check a DOF matter with you.

The balls save magnet hits my shaker motor with full force, event

though I have limited it in the max settings in the config page.

Is this value hard coded in the table scrip or why is it so hard. the other shaker effects is

perfectly fine on thye table. only the other lane magnet save

Gstav,

I checked the config, your user config, your generated ini file, and all is fine there

And all the shaker events have intensity I16, so i don't know how this is possible

And the effect can only be configured on the ini file, i don't need to add anything to trigger the shaker in tom, it is between vpm and dof, especially the solenoids, the switches are triggered from the script, but the solenoids from the rom

something specific to these shaker events is the strobe is called at the same time, try to remove the S2 and S5 from the strobe, in italic below, to see if it makes a difference?
