That belkin strip is going to let you down if it's the same model as mine. Just the powered USB accessories keep the entire strip powered while the PC is off. I'd go with a smartstrip brand and return that belkin if you already bought it.

 

Thought I'd follow up and mention that the Belkin Conserve power strip has been working flawlessly for me.  I think this is a case of YMMV, depending on how much power your computer draws when turned 'off.'  But in the future, I'll probably just go with a Smart Strip, as I like the fact that the power sensitivity can be adjusted.

I found that there is a jumper on some motherboards that removes power from the USB ports when the computer shuts down. On other mobos, you just adjust a power setting in CMOS. Once you get the USB power to turn off with the mobo, the belkin works fine.

I've had some young people play on it that have never played a pinball machine before (sadly this is becoming more and more common), and of course they loved the experience.  Mission accomplished!    I think it's important to expose a new generation of players to the hobby, which is of course is becoming increasingly more difficult as pinball machines are far less common in public places these days.

Hey Gamester, do you have some advice on the artwork ? Did you use super High Res pictures ? Or is 1920x1080 enough to have a nice side cab artwork as you have without pixels or square dots ?

I've never printed something big as this and it's also not cheap to print this, so that's why I want some pre-info on this.

I have some ideas for the artwork of my cab, but still in the building and testing stage.

Very impressive build, well done!

 

I'm installing all my kit into a cab at the moment and have the sidewinder freestyle pro for nudging.  Any tips on setting it up, particularly under VP?

 

Good tip on the felt pads under the leg protectors by the way.  I'm applying the cabinet art work tonight and will take on your advice.

Your cab is awesome... You seriously inspired me to start looking for all the needed parts to build mine and honestly I'm really impress on the beauty and detailed finish of the cab.

 

I would like to know how much could I need to spend building a cab like this and how hard was the instruction if any available to connection parts and all wires together.

I know this is an old thread, but as it was never answered, 1920 x 1080 is nowhere near high enough resolution if you want it to look good.
