Hi Bob,

I think I'd better wait for the FS version before making any judgement or observations on this table.

There are a few problems I see, but I don't want to be hasty, as I am sure they will disappear in a FS version, like your other tables.

I am a big beatles fan as well...

One thing that I am observing however (in case it can be changed) is the lack of music. If i compare this to the 3 stooges for example, everytime i hit a bumper or something, an mp3 plays of the sounds of curly or moe or something... I love that.

On this table however, I hear music only when the ball launches, and then it seems to turn off for most of the game once i am in play, which must be something wrong- i can't see you making it that way, especially when you just commented that the music makes up for lack of things....

Anyways, i am holding off so i don't sound ungrateful, which of course I am not!!

Hi Mace, as I mentioned in the release thread, if you don't get those mp3's put in the right place, the table is a waste. You are probably on hearing the wave file music loops. There are 15 songs that play in rotation, these songs are activated by hitting the center red target, when the ON AIR light and the DOUBLE SCORE light is lit, there will be Beatles songs playing. Read the release post as I tell you exactly where to put the mp3 files.

I wanted music playing most of the time, so I made the Music the most important part of the table. The most important shot is the one to activate DOUBLE SCORING, it's easy to hit this target, then music plays.

If you are a Beatles fan, then try to figure this out. smile.gif You can easily add more song clips, but the file is already 35 megs, so I had to be selective.

@Sleepy, there are no new songs here, there are no weird Beatle songs here, all of these songs would probably be on their Greatest Hits set.

@Freddie, if your ball doesn't vanish near the top flipper, then you don't need the 2011a update, the ball never vanished on my setup.

Thanks Freddie. How do the flippers feel? Remember that we all don't need or want the same settings on every table, I like that slower return feel myself. I liked the way the ball moved on the new Jack's Open table. I also liked the ball hitting the flipper sound on that table, but I think it used the Ball collision system to do that and I think that system slows my performance down a little.

@Maceman, if you double click on an mp3 file, what plays the file on your setup? I think you have to have Windows Media Player installed for VP to play mp3's, maybe Sleepy or someone can tell you more about that, I am not very techy.

I'm off to play golf now. smile.gif

They seem to feel well, though the top one shouldn't be so strong I think but thats ok. I just played another game and I am in love. The On Air target with the double scoring is a cool feature. There is a few times where the ball seems to be traveling too fast when it comes off of things but I dont know what could be done with that as I can tell by the feel of it that you already messed with some dampening speeds and whatnot.

Congrats!!!!

Thanks bob! You added 16:10 & 4:3 info. While I still think tables should be 4:3 & with 16:9/16:10 conversion info optional (for various reasons I've already mentioned in other threads), I'm glad you are at least providing the conversion info for both 4:3 & 16:10. Many people will find that useful, now & in the future. I certainly appreciate it.
Is there is solid math on converting 4:3 & 16:9 to 16:10? If so could you share it? Maybe I'll start my own 16:10 chart if there is an easy enough formula to follow.

Btw, I noticed the conversion info isn't in the table info, which means anybody not reading this thread wouldn't have it, so maybe it would be good to toss it in there in the future.

I'd also be interested in how to convert to this FS or if you could share that
Thanks for any help!

Let me know if you are still wanting to know this or if you are still reading the thread. The guys that make tables are all different and we all do stuff differently, so there is no simple 3 step plan to convert a table to FS.

I don't know what skill level you are at with the editor, I don't want to write a book on how to convert a table to FS if you really just want to know how to turn the scores.

Here is a screenshot of the table after I just plugged some numbers into the backdrop options. I also included the numbers I used on the screenshot.

You'll need to drag the Tilt box off the backdrop screen and move the reels form the top of the backdrop screen to the left of the backdrop. We are turning the VP table 270 degrees, the table turns, but the backdrop doesn't turn.

Do you have 2 monitors or do you only use one 16x9 monitor and turn it. I will tell you how to turn the scores if you need that when you reply with what you want to know.

Hi Rob. I have posted the math before, but I don't think you always go back and read the replies to your posts.

There are now more people using 16x9 monitors here than all other monitor sizes added together, so I am reaching the majority and you are in the super minority with your 16x10 monitor size.... 4x3 is just ancient nowadays and should only be used for a second monitor or using it for a backglass is great.

The math. On a JP table you want to multiply the Xscale by .75 and enter new number for a 16x9 monitor. Since you have a 16x10 monitor, you need to also multiply the yscale by .90 and then enter that new number. What this does is shrinks the table in VP's brain, but then it gets unstretched to the right size on your monitor when it is loaded. You have 10% more vertical monitor display, so you need to shrink the VP table by 10% so when it is stretched on your monitor, you have tricked it to be the correct size. Multiplying the yScale number by .90 is your vertical solution.

I already have this table stretched, that is why the 4x3 xScale conversion number is larger.

I noticed you added this. This table is only available here, so they will see that info if they downloaded it from here, I don't want to write a book in the table info area, I don't even like writing table rules there. Like I have mentioned before, if this was my job, I would have no problem making 5 table versions and even a mac version and a couple of pamphlets thrown in for good measure, but I make tables for fun and then share them, doing all of those extra things is not fun and just turns a hobby into a job. I don't want a job. smile.gif
