Scared Stiff Elvira Bally Flasher Object MOD FOM

Screenshots
Here is a flasher object mod (FOM) for the Bally game "Scared Stiff".

First off many thanks to the developers who continue to enhance VP and allow some of these cool new effects.
Also to JPSalas for being kind enough to allow me to mod his original release of this table.

These two archives contain Day and Night versions of the same mod both in sunken and flush perspectives.  (Download your desired view and light state).

At around line 43 in the script you will find a variable named

Const RibFlashers = 0

Disabled by default this variable when set to 1 will render highlights on the ribs of the snake ramp on the playfield.  The highlights are based on reflections from the claw lamps that surround the playfield.   It may be a bit much for some folks so it's disabled by default.

These tables were authored with final version of VP921 but I recommend running it in DX9 version test 8 for an excellent performance boost.

The standard vpinmame controller is set in the script so you'll need to change that if you want to run directb2s.

Have a nice weekend and I hope you enjoy. - Dozer.

Firing up the cab right now, can't wait to try :D

Thanks Dozer! Keep up the great work ..really enjoying these mods!

Looks great but same problem with your Medieval Madness mod, this one does not take up the full screen, and the scale looks off (looks pinched, running at 1920x1080 on a 42" LCD).

Here's the original version:

hi, with these tables that are dependant on a specific version of VP. Can you please also link to where the specific version of vp can be downloaded ? I can't find 'nightly builds' section at all. Search doesn't help either :(

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pretty.  great work!!!  :)

I can see test version 6 posted on the drop box site from 4 days ago but no 8?

Should I be looking somewhere different now??

Search "Road to DX9"

I have some lightning issues with this. I get a trail through the lightning were the ball has been and also there is some general lightning issues with the bumbpers as you can see in the picture...

Anyone who knows how to fix this?
