Scooby Doo
Hi Pinthusiasts, it's just a few strokes past midnight now and it's April 1st, 2022 in the Pacific Time Zone. No Foolin !!!, I'm coming out of the shadows now, here is my first table release, It's "Scooby Doo, 2022". A lot has changed since 1969, but Shaggy, Scooby and the rest of the Gang need your help to capture 8 monsters & ghosts and to solve this mystery.
This table is a VPX retrofit, retheme and remaster of the much older VP9 Scooby Doo. The audio track has been entirely re-mastered and the table is running nicely on the VPX platform with better code and a streamlined game play.
I wish to extend a special thanks to JP Salas, for giving me permission to mod his table (Wrath of Olympus). Scooby Doo sits entirely on top of his January 2022 release of Wrath of Olympus and I did not delete a single line of his WOOLY code. So, if you know the rules to that table, then you have a good head start. In addition I want to personally thank JP for coaching me on some of the finer points of table design and the special touches he added to my revamp (such as the parrot, the barrels, lighting fixes, good advice and other things I did not have the skill to do when I started. My skills started at 0. Sorry I do not have the skill yet to make a backglass for the table.
I have additional mods on the way and I'll address bugs and issues in the release thread if you post there.
Other thanks to T-800, Arngrim and Masalaja & VP community in general. Enjoy the Mystery, mrjcrane.

Amazing table!!! Goes great with my Scooby Doo lunch box
Right on that lunch box is worth a few good bucks if you have the old thermos too !!!!
Thank you for this great table and the update. Love the ambiance ![]()
Great update, thank you!
A few hints on the table the music is kind of mellow for the first 4 monsters, but trust me when you get to the next 4 and to the end of the game and into the multiball modes, there is sufficient audio chaos to really put some pressure on you and will challenge your concentration for sure. Learn to use the Magna-Save feature. There are a few sneaking things in the table you may stumble upon. Have fun all !! For those of you lucky enough to get to Mystery Machine mode, the sounds on the Van are super cool ! No that I'm biased at all .. ![]()
Thank you! Keep up the good work!
This is a great table!

Hi Otak, that is a little strange, I've not seen that yet ... I'll need you to show me the "full" file name if you have it and I can dig into the issue please. I've been testing v1.0.1 and so far no table crashes or issues on my end yet. Or better yet can you tell me what you were doing right before you got that message please? Also please confirm you are at least on VPX v 10.7 and that your vb scripts are current please. Because my table is very sound intensive with many samples playing simultaneously I could be pushing the boundaries of your sound card if you are on a lower end machine.
I very purposefully designed the table to use .ogg sound files for all the voicing and call-out samples. This allowed me to have a very extensive sound library while keeping the table size to a minimum. I know other developers gravitate to .wav files for the sound track and with good cause, however I wanted to push the boundaries on what compressed audio was capable of for this table.
Now my table is built superimposed on top of Wrath of Olympyus and as such I left all of JP's sound in tact and in the sound library and did not delete any of JP's sounds or script lines. When I substitute my sounds for JP's sounds you will see me throw a "_sd" on the tail end of the original file name JP used. The error you get is on one of my sound calls so I'll have to go through and play each sound to see if any have issues.
I probably have an unmatched sound somewhere can you tell me when you are getting the error please?
Sup? is there a correct backglass file for this? or am I missing something? I tried to use the one in the 1.0 folder but all I get is a screenshot of the Mac screen on the DOF login. The Table plays, sounds , and looks great though ![]()
Nevermind,, I found the one mrjcrane commented on at VPU
