Hi Pinthusiasts, it's just a few strokes past midnight now and it's April 1st, 2022 in the Pacific Time Zone. No Foolin !!!, I'm coming out of the shadows now, here is my first table release, It's "Scooby Doo, 2022". A lot has changed since 1969, but Shaggy, Scooby and the rest of the Gang need your help to capture 8 monsters & ghosts and to solve this mystery.

This table is a VPX retrofit, retheme and remaster of the much older VP9 Scooby Doo. The audio track has been entirely re-mastered and the table is running nicely on the VPX platform with better code and a streamlined game play.

I wish to extend a special thanks to JP Salas, for giving me permission to mod his table (Wrath of Olympus). Scooby Doo sits entirely on top of his January 2022 release of Wrath of Olympus and I did not delete a single line of his WOOLY code. So, if you know the rules to that table, then you have a good head start. In addition I want to personally thank JP for coaching me on some of the finer points of table design and the special touches he added to my revamp (such as the parrot, the barrels, lighting fixes, good advice and other things I did not have the skill to do when I started. My skills started at 0. Sorry I do not have the skill yet to make a backglass for the table.

I have additional mods on the way and I'll address bugs and issues in the release thread if you post there.

Other thanks to T-800, Arngrim and Masalaja & VP community in general. Enjoy the Mystery, mrjcrane.

Hi everyone,

I'm using vp version 10.7 and have a flipper problem. When i press the left flipper the right flipper also moves up and get stuck in the up position. Does someone know how to fix this issue?

Sorry about that could be in my table script, but I'm surprised it triggered for you I built in a special key code I put in when I was testing the table and when I got tired ... so the "U" key for UP will bring both flippers up to hold the ball for me as I went to grab another beer from the fridge.  Comment out my line 430 and you will be back in business or give either/both flippers another tap and it will release them .. sorry man! I'll turn that off in the next release.

Key code 22 is the "U" key so maybe you have that mapped as in use on your keyboard commands by another function in the vp menus.

BUG FIX = Comment out line 430 or just tap both flipper keys to release both.

Hi mrjcrane, thanks for the tip. I love the table but actually my cabinet uses the U key code for left flipper. Now i can enjoy your beautifull table. By the way it's a nice "feature" to have on other tables cause some times we need to grab another beer without leaving the game :)

Yeh thanks on the next verision V1.0.1 releasing somewhere between Friday and Sunday night, I will scale back all the special key codes I built into the first release. I'll unmap the "U" key, I knew that was a risk. I am adding a "Jukebox" feature mapping to the INSERT and DELETE keys for Play & Stop respectively, do you have those mapped already?

Thank you. I enjoy playing this table.

looks good man, congrates....
one bit of advice on DT mode, never have the background brighter then the table itself, it makes the table seem like an afterthought.... its like selling a house you need to create curb appeal, let the table be the star....
thats my 2 pennies

So Hauntfreak, I'd like to see a general example of what you would put as the basic background that would look better. Shoot me a message with the attached example and I'll experiment with it as an alternate background image.

Hey Pinballers, I'm going to release a new version v1.0.1 of SCOOBY in the next few days addressing bugs you have reported and adding a few enhancements. Those of you with DOF and PinCabs, please refresh your directoutputconfig files from the DOF repository or SCOOBY DOF triggers will come to a grinding halt unless you update it manually with.

I'll be changing the table rom name in v1.0.1 from Wooly to Scooby (Thanks to Outhere for creating that table entry) so I stop clobbering your WOOLY high scores. Again my table is just a reskin/remaster of Wrath of Olympus, so if you know the rules for that table, I did not change a single thing in the rules, just cosmetics and a remastered sound track; but a very well thought out and deliberate remaster, hundreds of hours have gone into this table over 2 years to dial it in. Enjoy & Family friendly.

04/13/2022: New version v1.0.1 just uploaded tonight pending approval by Site Admin. Hopefully a little more stable and improved from my first version - mrjcrane. Addressed bugs reported in prior version. Moved "Beer Mode" flippers up over to Backspace Key, F12 is favorite Scooby TV song. INS & DEL keys will play songs in the Scooby Jukebox from the TV shows. INS starts it or picks next song then DEL stops play in the Jukebox. F1-F9 switchable in table script for DOF testing but I uploaded table with DOF_TESTING in the OFF mode.

Parent's if you want for the younger players you can comment out my audio call in Line 484 for "Beer Mode" and or add a sample of your own choosing that makes sense for your young ones. Want the game to be family friendly, or you can turn it off in Line 132 set to "OFF". Have fun with the table ... there are few surprises to discover as you get to some of the harder aspects of the table.

Awesome fun!  Waited for the update and so far... so worth the wait!!  Thanks for this!
