CARtoons roach bugs aged retro gemini rust 2021 mod RtxBS
This is a modification of CARtoons RC (2017) v2.3, by HauntFreaks, BorgDog, and SliderPoint - with contributions from Dark, Randr, Toxie, and Fuzzel
"My boss found this old pinball machine in his barn and stuck it in our break room, bugs and all! I thought it was old and unfair, so I hammered some nails in...hopefully I didn't break anything...
um, if the lights go out...just give it a slap." RADDOG
Hold left flipper before starting game for Operator's Menu
See script for more toggle-able options
**Arachnophobe Warning** turn off spider in script, I don't want to freak anyone out (too much)
Thank you to Toxie and Fuzzel for VPX in general, and for their excellent documentation and posts clarifying all of its features.
Special thanks to JPSalas for the physics, shadows, and sounds in his excellent Arcade Physics v3 2nd edition, and for advising me to lower the max velocity of the ball - which led to fine-tuning the physics of the whole table, then tweaking the flippers to be more worn out like the original.
I've been a fan of digital pinball games for long time, but somehow only just discovered Visual Pinball. Learning so I could make my own tables became...a bit of an obsession. I chose to mod this table because it's so unique, but simple enough that I could follow the code (I am not a programmer, and I apologize in advance to those of you who are).
I discovered visual pinball just 2 weeks ago, but I've put about 42 hours of work into this (and a lot more time mentally). (as of 1.0, a lot more now!)
I hope my love of the medium and this table shine through, and that you enjoy playing it!

(Change the b2s filename to match the table name)
Major changes in Nailed: RtxBS ON, Physics, Nails, Multiball, Outlane Save Roach, Shadows, Lights, Sounds, Breakable Elements
My goal was to give it a couple more features, while staying true to its 'aged' aesthetic. I'd like to think I pulled it off!

What's New in Version 1.3f (See full changelog)
- PoV change, and Final Update: I rushed this one out when I first got into VP, before I knew about the proper way to get permission; basically I didn't wait long enough and the answer would have been "no" because of the IP. I got approval to keep it up after, but it didn't feel right to work on it thereafter.
- It sounds like there is a proper update from HauntFreaks in the works, so keep an eye out for that!

I've had the roach wander down into the drain a lot, both on normal games and while testing with the apron invisible. I've never had him count as a regular ball lol, he just hangs out down there and the game continues without him. Anything special about your setup that might change the logic of the ball handling? So, when i play the table, the roach will sometimes drain and counts them as one of my balls and ends the round. Then the roach will show up in the shooter lane as a ball, with a regular ball and i have to shoot them out. Any suggestions?
And I've been hesitant to mess with the roach holes because I don't want to mess anything up, but the left slingshot is often a problem so I'll see if I can fix it with a bit more kick force or stronger magnets.
Nothing special. It's like the image was switched from a ball to a roach. The previous version I never had the roach drain or count as a ball. Odd. I haven't updated DOF in a while --> are real chimes setup in it? Thanks again.
1. Can you tell me how to brighten the table?
A FB friend helped me with the brightness issue (day / night slider in vpx settings). Looks better (in my opinion) now.
Can someone tell me how to trigger multi-ball?

3 ways:
- First and "easiest" (since you can break things across balls) is to break the rubber band and bulb, then while the SPECIAL light is lit (all targets dropped and reset during that ball) scare the roach into one of a couple different holes
- Least random version is to drop the targets then hit the bulb again after it's broken
- Next method is to have dropped the targets, put out all the lamps, and scored enough for x2 bonus, then chase the roach (no need to break the bulb)
- Hardest? way is to have scored enough points that ball to have the x3 lamp lit...then chase the roach. The roach is kind of the key to multiball

Full detailed info is in the editor dropdown "Table -> Table Info..." and the description when you pause VPX.
Wow < I'm just seeing this now> very impressive work with Rtx shadows Thank you for this new Immersive element

2 quick questions:
1. Can you tell me how to brighten the table?
2. Is there a strategy guide / video available? Up till now I've just been sending the ball back to the top or trying to increase Roach count, wasn't even aware of a multiball (??!!)
Thanks, great table and enjoy your improvements
