Download TOTAN_1.1.1 shiny mod 1.1.1.b shiny mod
30 Votes
based on most excellent original 1.1.0 version of Tales of the Arabian Night by jpsalas, Grizz, ClarkKent, Michael Gallo, Randr. Changes in this mod are:
created new primitive transparent ramps in blender
photoshopped ambient occlusion into playfield image
polished lamp for better reflection
update 1.1.1:
modded the newly released 1.1.1 with all from 1.1.0 shiny mod
additionally polished the genie, it looked scruffy in my first version
some small visual fixes
update 1.1.1.b:
Replaced environment map with a custom made one for this table
Changed material properties for the ramp
If you like the old look better, please use 1.1.1, nothing else is changed
If you want to make it brighter, you only need to change the environment emission scale (lighting tab)
For a tutorial on creating the transparent ramps visit this page:

Nice work on a already incredible table. Thanks for the stunning visual update
.
This table is without a doubt the most beautiful pinball table I have seen anywhere. Just simply stunning!!!
My jaw has hit the floor!!
Bravo.......brillant work.
There are not enough adjectives to describe this beauty!
flupper1 u my man! thanks so much!!! i realy like youre "shiny mods" (even when then look more like HDR then shiny to me :-)
f* this table is my nemesis.... but i never ever played the real thing so far....
its so just hardcore... when i ever see one in good condidion in my country i think i have to buy it to master that one...
simply wow.. think this is my new favourite table when it comes to graphics now.. the clarity of JPs design and lighting, together with the nice ramps and improved materials..
You did a great job on the ramps and the look of the transparent, shiny, plastic. It's good to see more people pitching in for 3D ramps, I hope you help more table authors with their ramps! ![]()
@dark: thanks! Hope my tutorial helps authors, but I am surely willing to help.
It looks fantastic. Thank you for sharing
You made me plink a tear ![]()
Thanks a gazillion!
Best VPX version of this table IMO. Unless maybe if you have a 4K monitor to play on!

Spitfire, thank you!!
For anyone else with the cvpmtrough issue:
- Move your scripts folder out of VPMame directory
- Run the full X Installer which will install the latest scripts
- Go to your tables directory and sort by type
- Cut all VBS files and paste to the scripts folder. Overwrite - No.
- Delete the VBS files remaining in the tables directory
Now that I have all of the latest scripts and cleaned up the tables directory several X tables are working.
