Williams Medieval Madness VPX

Medieval Madness Version 2.3

Another port from VP9 using the original table from JP Salas with enhancements.

This table is currently configured to use the unofficial profanity rom which is available in the link below.

If you would prefer to use one of the original release roms, then simply change the rom name in the script.

Many options are available for graphics via variables at the top of the script, please tweak these to your liking.

PLEASE NOTE: Version 2.X -The castle lighting (front green splash) and a couple of other lights in this area require that the table layback/inclination/FOV are not changed to be positioned properly.  If you want to change these variables, set the variable "Old_Lightning" to 1 in the script to use an angle independent scheme that will not break when these values are changed.

A huge thanks to Ninuzzu and Zany for providing models and textures for use in this version of the table.

Dozer.

What's New in Version 2.3 (See full changelog)

  • Cautiously optimistic right ramp hang is fixed.(Made significant changes to right ramp geometry and physics).
  • Removed old nudge code noted by JP.
  • Made some small changes to switch position so right ramp make should only now be triggered when the ball is in the ramps "safe" zone. (This should fix the erroneous damsel award).

thank you!

Thank's, but Where is the LED display?

If anyone could please help, I would be very grateful.

This table looks excellent, however every time I hit teh castle, teh ball kind of just falls underneath teh draw bridge and stays there:-( - it happens every time and the same thing happens with this versin of MM and he other version uploaded here.

I'm running the oficial VP10 build (haven't installed 10.1 yet) and my B2S and PinMame appear to be working fine. I haven't had this kindof problemwithany other VP10 table. Many thanks in advance; I'd really like to be able to play this table (I still have a nice Physmod version which runs o.k) - I've tried things such as deleteing the NVAM, but that makes no diference.

Hi there sosambora and others.

I had exactly the same issue with the ball not coming out of the castle-moat.

The only working version for me is the 'Merlin Mod'.

Please google it, because I am not sure if it came from VPF or from an external site.

No idea why, but that is the only version that doesnt have that issue on my cab.

Hope this fixes your issue, Marcel

Running into a weird issue - other VPX tables seem to work with my real DMD on my cab. Normally I just turn off the on-screen DMD because my real one will display everything. For some reason with MM, it's not working. Anyone have any idea why? Is there something in the script I need to turn on/off?

Thanks

I'm having an issue with the roms. I've placed them in the roms folder and unblocked them but when I start up the table it says their missing. Any ideas?

Great work. Aswell as being visually stunning it plays and feels great.

Dozer! Great table!  Weird issue...  It sounds like two audio loops are playing all the time. Does anyone else have this issue? "I am merlin, I am merlin, young and young and old". Anyone else have this issue? No problems other than that!

Suggestions? When I load the table only the table itself comes up. No PinMAME errors, no missing ROM's (re-downloaded everything to be sure), no suggestion anything is wrong.

*Fresh install of everything solved it.

AWESOME table!!! Great, fun, sounds. Excellent ball beheivor, looks and feels great. The best table of all time.
