Is this a better version? Should I uninstall the old and in with the new? Does this have the date fix (2011)?

No. I only posted this here because futurepinball.com had gone down.

It's back now, but it's there AND here just in case.

I would recommend that once the new version comes out (I have faith) we also host it here and anywhere else it can be hosted so we can absorb some of the load from Chris' site.

I thought this project was dead and done with. Have I been out of the loop that long?

FP was never declared dead or done with. The creator simply took the forums down and has been very quiet. Like Greywolf, I too have faith that a new version will be released since there was a video that showed what seemed to be revised physics and a different camera angle for the arcade render. I would love some news from Chris about the actual state of the program, but until then I still see it as alive.

Which video was that, the one about Batman?

I tried reading just about every page there was about how FP would stop running and how to fix the problem, calling Black a bad boy and so on. I think FP is as good as VP IMHO. FP does certain things VP doesn't and vice versa. In a perfect world, we'd have the two combined to make the killer pinball app but we are not in a perfect world.

I too, hope that Black will make a revised FP edition with new bells and whistles. Surely there must be someone in the community that is still talking with Black but not releasing any details.

Hey Pinbotic,

Got a link to that video with the different physics/camera angle of FP? I'd like to check that out.

Thanks

I am 95% sure that this is the same video that I remember. Keep in mind that this was before we found out how to change the camera angle in the arcade render so the different view that you will see in the video was a huge deal back when the video first came out. I find that the clips of Sci-Fi Classic show something that, at least to me, just looks different that what was normal at the time.

That would be the Nanotech version to be used in the MultiPin system. It is very unlikely to be released, similar to VP9 when it was commercially viable.

I think it's dead. There is nothing heard for ages, and there are NO plans for any updates to be found anywhere on the whole www.

Don't give up hope, Black has always done things his way. The less said against him and FT the better. Just be grateful for what he has giveb you so far.

Needless to say I am VERY grateful what is given to me and us. Actually building my own cab wouldn't be possible without him/them.
