There is another that discusses this, and after trying a few driver versions...I found that the newest ATI driver that doesn't cause missing textures (A MAJOR ISSUE, of course) is 10.4.
10.4 is still a pretty new driver, just a couple months old, and isn't much different from the couple newer drivers out there. & 10.4 still includes ATI's 2D hotfix, which is important for some VP users depending on your card.
Until ATI hopefully resolves this issue...Maybe you should sticky this, Noah?
Cuz I'm sure there are a lot of confused ATI users like myself who couldn't or can't figure out WTF is going on with FP if they have updated to 10.5 or 10.6 (or newer?).
& if ATI does release a new driver that fixes this problem, somebody please test it & post here if it fixes the problem. I don't think to check too often for new drivers, especially when I'm happy with the ones I have. 10.4 seem pretty solid all around, for VP/FP and the usual 3D gaming.

Have a 5750 1 GB here, 10.3 PreBeta was the first that runs wonderful with Future Pinball.
10.4 works too very good.
10.5 - texture problems
10.6 - texture problems
But we have one of the new drivers work here with Future Pinball - Has a Nvidia card before (9800GT) that takes more energy, smaller fps and 185.x drivers... where are we now? Ahhh 257.21 are the newest.
Don't know how it works in Future Pinball and 2 displays.
Wait dring and try every new ATI driver comes next.

All you need to do is keep a copy of 10.4 opengl file that is located in the system32 folder.. copy it to future pinballs directory.. install 10.6 and when you run future pinball it will load the 10.4 opengl driver instead of 10.6
file name is atioglxx.dll
file name is atioglxx.dll

Here's the file.. just extract it to your future pinball directory..
If you have other games that have the same issues you can extract it to roots of those directories as well to fix it..

I'm gonna give this a try, sounds like it will work.
Very interesting trick. Is this something that likely only works with FP? Or would it work with any openGL games? Cuz there are a lot of games where it would be nice to be able to load up an alternate or older driver if I'm having issues with the latest driver.
I'm surprised something so simple works though, surprised that just throwing this file in a root directly allows it to load up. But hey, whatever works!

Anything that requires OpenGL will load whatever driver version you put into that software's directory.. if nothing exists it'll then load the default driver that windows uses..
Anyone who had a 3DFX card probably had to do this with certain games back in the day.. myself included so this nothing magical on my part.. just past experience

Anyone try out the new ATI 10.7 drivers?
I just did and the fixed opengl driver isn't included in the 10.7 release.. same problems as before.. stick with the 10.4 opengl driver inside the future pinball folder.

BIG THANKS TO Captain Caveman
Here the same 10.7 64Bit same problems. Try the opengl driver from 10.4 too.
Make it for Windows 7 64.
Found a way to install it as windows default:
That way:
The ATI driver(s) make a folder on your hard disk and that's the key:
C:\ATI\Support\
There are for each driver one folder.
I copy the original 10.4 OpenGL file to the 10.7 folder
Install 10.4 driver first and copy this file:
C:\ATI\Support\10-4_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF\B_98282\atioglxx.dl_
Than Install 10.7 driver and after restart deinstall all ATI-components
The folder of the driver isn't deleted
Now copy the atioglxx.dl_ in the 10.7 folder, copy it to this place:
C:\ATI\Support\10-4_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF\B102427\
Overwrite the file in this folder with the 10.4 OpenGL .dll
Now 10-7_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enu there is a setup-file. Install.
But you must DEINSTALLED the 10.7 driver before, because I try it out and it not works.
In the setup-process there is a WARNING-massage of windows 7 - ignore it and say "yes you want to install" it is a signature-massage.
After setup-process of the 10.7 driver with 10.4 openGL driver I start Hyperpin and play a little bit. It works.
Now I have a way to install the 10.7 driver with openGL 10.4 in the windows-system for all openGL applications.
Hope to help some of you.
Perhaps - it that a way for NVIDIA-users too?
They only must found out the file, I was a nvidia-user and know there are files too with the name for example it could be: nvoglnt.dll
Make the same and they can switch to the new drivers with old openGL-drivers. But that must be speak over in a new threat

FYI: With the today's 10.8 Release, the texture problem seems to be gone!
Yep.. 10.8 is working for me as well..
