Well here it is my Family Guy WIP.



Its my first FP project. I know its not the easiest one to start with but what the heck.

Only just Started really got some of the layout done and all the lights work.

i don't mean to demotivate but family guy is a very ambitious table for a first project... and from what i remember it has a smaller-than-regular ball on the mini playfield which makes it at least in part impossible in fp... by all mean go ahead while you enjoy doing it but for a first table something that is at least doable in theory might be better imo... but then i just need to look at one of the many wips i started and how impossible most of those tables would have been to pull off in fp and just shut my mouth

Yes I realise the mini ball is a problem for accurate conversion, but this is gonna be a tribute table based on the real thing.
I'm pretty confident I can do most of this, my onlt concern are the toys. So if anyone wants to model these for me I would be very greatfull.

I will see if I can make the flipper models a bit smaller for you (how small do you want them?), and look into the ball. I think that you can only animate models, so I am not sure if it is possible.

Looks sharp. There are actually 4 total captive balls on this machine - 2 per shot. And can the model editor do animation? The Meg toy jumps up and down like the AFM Martians, the Stewie toy rotates to play the mini pinball and back. Those are the only 'toys' it has unless you count the mini pinball machine itself. Of course you have the moving swing target on the left ramp - but that's can be done with an upside-down drop target item - so shouldn't be too difficult. I'm sure you'll have fun with this.

Ok got 2 balls in each. Is this to make activating the switch harder?

I think it's so during multiball you can get more switch hits - you lose a little momentum when the first captive ball hits the second one in the stack, but the first drops to the bottom quicker ready to be hit again.
