Hi Guys,

I have been playing around for years and generally sort my issues out and have a reasonably well working PC cabinet set up of 4 screens (PF, DMD, BG, TPR).

I use VPX, FP and Pinball FX. All were running well with Popper on the right screens. I updated the Popper to the latest version a while ago and since then many tables in VPX needed to be rotated all of a sudden. I went through and fixed them all one by one.

Future pinball tables have all now screwed up their positioning, and no matter what I do in the FP editor to say the playfield is DISPLAY X and the BG is DISPLAY Y, nothing changes, the playfield is slightly too big for the monitor, off to one side, and the backglass is half over the PF and DMD monitor.

I deleted all the FP folders and reinstalled FP from scratch, used a new table, exactly the same thing. Changes in the editor just make no difference.

Close to formatting the drive and starting over, but I had just got the set up to exactly how I like it, so reluctant to do it.

>>I updated the Popper to the latest version

from which version ? how have you updated ? installed with baller-installer ? online update is feature of v1.5, not from the prior version

At first all the tables must work well without running with popper. Run the explicit vpx version 32bit or 64bit , 10.8 or 10.7, depends on the table. (In most cases 64bit-10.8 works well, run stable version, not beta ones), and then load the table for test and adjustments

The same with FP. Run tables only using fploader.exe

>>I deleted all the FP folders and reinstalled FP from scratch

FP-configuration is stored in the registry in the \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Future Pinball hive. But I think that reinstalling FP will overwrite these values.

I highly recommend to use the baller-installer from nailbuster. It helps to avoid config mistakes.

Use BAM to adjust PF and BG.

Perhaps it helps to take a look in my documentation (link in my footer)

I don't know if this is the problem or not but TerryRed's FAQ and Help Guide.pdf says:

I get an error on all FP tables that support DOF. The error is similar to the picture below.
The problem is not from FP or the table. This problem is usually the result of updating DOF to 64 bit (as
part of a VPX 64 bit update)
The problem seems to be the double registration of DirectOutput by the
RegisterDirectOutputComObject.exe. The standard x86 and the x64 one. This creates two registry
entries, the 3.1.7698.40088 for x86 and the 3.1.8440.34790 for the x64. So, don't do that if you want to
continue using DOF effects outside of VPX (Future Pinball, Popper, FX3, DOFLinx, etc)

Sounds like your Windows Display settings and Monitor IDs got messed up which messes up all your vpin related apps (common problem). The common fix is "usually" to reset your Monitor IDs in Windows.

First, make sure you download and install the latest "FP and BAM Essentials AIO" package from here:

https://www.vpforums...showtopic=51600

Make sure the zip file is not blocked before extracting it and installing the files.

Then in the "FuturePinball\Tools and other Apps\Reset Monitor IDs" folder, try running the "Reset Monitor IDs.bat" file. Reboot your PC.

This "should" reset your monitor IDs in Windows. Confirm in Windows Display settings that your monitors are arranged correctly!

Then run FP and try to set your displays if needed.

If running PinEvent tables with PuP-Packs, don't forget that in Popper Games Manager, you need to add PinEvent to CustomLaunchPara for each table to disable the FP Backbox (which needs to be disabled when using PUP-Packs and PuP Displays), as well as having Popper's browsing media turned off under "Keep Displays On".  This is covered in my Popper and Baller Installer Tips Guide.
