Many people has problems with pac, serum files and this is very easy tutorial to install everything and enjoy color roms:

1.Install Freezy dmd extensions from github

2.Download FlexDMD from github and copy all files into Vpinmame folder and run flexdmdui.exe to check installed components of FlexDMD and DmdExt.

3.To correctly read PAC files You will need vni license key, otherwise colors will be blue/orange. I can send key by pm.

4.Copy this vni key to dmddevice.ini file using notepad and put on top but below Global. Leave spaces between text lines.

5.If You have in Vpinmame folder files like serum.dll and pin2color.dll this files have to be deleted because they are causing conflicts with dmdext.

This solved all my problems with color roms.

For .pac colorization to work, you need this in the [global] section of your dmddevice.ini file

 
; the key to decrypt PAC files, in hex.
vni.key = f0ad135937ffa111c60b24d88ebb2e59

I added the above key to my DMDdevice.ini but I'm still getting orange and blu only. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been trying to understand how to install colored roms for some time, I'll follow your guide.

I read that license keys are needed, could you be so kind as to send them to me?

I also have a bit of confusion, the files for coloring the roms are .cRZ .pal .pac? are they different things from each other?
are there also serum files?
