I found a topic that talked abut needing M1, downloading an xml and a dll and putting things in special palaces and magically capturing rom sounds.

I can't find it again to link to, but I failed to follow those instructions and thought there might be a simpler way.

  1. Download Audacity
  2. Follow these steps to capture the audio from your PC
    https://support.auda...g-desktop-audio
  3. Open pinmame32
  4. Fire up your rom (I chose Firepower)
  5. Press 0
  6. Press Record in Audacity

By the sounds of it I lucked out with the simple 0 to get sounds playing in the old Firepower rom, it might be more complicated for other roms.

I hope this helps someone.

Backstory:
our local bar has just for a Deadpool table. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the old Firepower sounds used and I made me think the sounds can be used for anything.. like maybe a ringtone.

It's in the tutorials section https://www.vpforums...ials&article=54,

now you just need the PinMAME32 to record or listen to sounds.

Thanks for finding that. Yes, that's the one.. and all of that M1 stuff seems redundant now.
