Hey everyone! I have a current full size cab with a 43" ASUS XG438Q 4K 120Hz playfield, a 1080p BG and lcd DMD.

My original computer build is:
Ryzen 5 1600
16GB DDR4-3000
Gigabyte AB350M-Gaming 3
GeForce GTX 1070
Micron 2200S 256GB SSD

...this was letting me run almost all tables and PUP packs with a few reduced settings - some video lag when trying to play Stranger Things, Harry Potter, etc.

My motherboard just failed, and I had a local builder offer an older (to him) build for about $350:

CPU: i7-4790K
GPU: GTX 1080
Storage: 120 GB SSD and 1 TB HDD
Ram: 16 gb (8x2)DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Pro @ 2400Mhz
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming

...just trying to figure out if this would be considered an upgrade that could do decent 4k VP for me - or if I should be looking for a higher end unit to fully replace, or just get a better GPU - I'm not much of a computer guy (I build and refurbish old jukeboxes), so any suggestions or advice would really be appreciated!

Thank you! If I also bought a used GeForce RTX 3060 to swap out for my 1070, would that put me in the realm of being able to run 4k tables and PUP packs with my existing setup without much strain?

Yes, with some settings adjustments.

Conehead has a 3060 and he only has an HP z420 with a Xeon for the computer

You wont run the tables at 120FPS

I would suggest running the monitor at 60Hz and then running VPX with vsync enabled
as that is around the framerate that the 3060 will run the tables good at at 4K without having to reduce quality too much.

Conehead could probably tell you the settings he is using.

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow

My pin is down and covered with sheets at the moment cuz the room it's in is undergoing some very dusty work, but I'll post the specs when I can.
