Rather flattered that someone mentioned my BGC 2035 table from back in the day. It's still probably my favorite of all the tables I've built and I still fire it up occasionally. It's still playable up to at least VP 9.21, but they changed how the text boxes are handled in VP 9.9+ and I've not figured out how figure out how to get the display to work in 9.95.
I actually plan to do a rebuild of Bubblegum Crisis 2035 in VPX after I clear a couple of other projects I'm working on, Hextech 1.2 and a new table I've been working on the past few months that I haven't revealed yet.Once I get those done and released, then next up is likely the BGC 2035 rebuild. It's going to be quite the project once I do start on it. I'd only gotten back into VP just a few months ago after being away for about 6 years and thought about which of my old tables I would want to rebuild for VPX, and BGC 2035 won out by a narrow margin over Initial D.
Current working title is Bubblegum Crisis 2037. The plan right now is that It'll still be pretty much the same game but I've come up with some things to add, and some things to change or (hopefully not) remove. There are things in the playfield I'd like to adjust, make some of the shots a little easier to hit, and improve the flow, and I'm also looking to make it fit in either mid-90s Williams or Superpin table dimensions. It definitely deserves a full DMD but I haven't figured I want to implement it yet. Might start with the old system if I can get it working for DT (no guarantees), but I may have to attempt something like FlexDMD which I do not have any idea how to set up and make it work the way I want it to, especially if I were to build a B2S backglass for the cabinet guys. Much to think about and much to still learn.
Take Care.
