how are the water connections designed?

do they have O-rings or how is it done?

Liquid cooled PCs are typically a sealed system with no user serviceable parts inside.

 

They are filled with either distilled water or Fluorinert (FC70, etc.).

I bought my PC ready made.  The best I can see is it has flexible hoses with smooth metal ends that are round and maybe about a half inch long.  They are connected to what looks like a radiator.  I don't know if it has o rings or not since I have never taken the hoses apart and never had it serviced.

Depends on what you buy
closed premade system, or custom hand made system.

The guys I bought mine from said the water cooling was one of the things that allowed them to overclock the CPU.  Overclocking might sound a little radical but I have not had a problem with it.

Wow $8k for a PC!  I thought mine was expensive at $2K.  Of course that was about 10 years ago.

Not paying 8k for a PC

 

For $50 bucks, i can put the entire PC inside a mini fridge (freon, not peltier type)

you could do better on your own.

Not interested, did that decades ago, with everything from distiller water in a radiator
to using alcohol, to running ethaline glycol and running the pump inside a water cooler tank, even tried flat out freezing one by cutting up a small window AC unit, and shooting freon into the water block.
made lots of messes, made lots of leaks.

 

Mostly came to the conclusion that i could do any sensible speeds, just with big a handmade copper heatsink 
and a very strong and very noisy fan.
Anything beyond sensible usually resulted in premature CPU death after a while
if other issues didnt happen 1st.

 

You can buy premade water coolers, they aren't super expensive.
They work fine for normal use, you're not doing anything insane with them.
They do lose coolant over time, you do have to check them once in a while.

If you want to do something extreme though, you have to build your own

these water cooled PCs are very expensive because of the R&D(research and development) that went into

the design, components and the build.

i tried vpf image host and gallary upload. i dont understand why i having problem uploading images....
