Bought a VP Cabinet from someone but the hard drive has crashed, was hoping someone would be able to build me a new computer that I could plug and play on my existing 2 screen cabinet...or if someone knows someone that could do it.

What are the specs on the PC already in it?
A hard drive is easily replaceable

Yes I could just replace the hard drive , but I wouldn’t have a clue how to setup everything and there is no backup anywhere!

Step 1
Physically install the new Drive into the cabinet.
Preferably an SSD because they are not susceptible to shock damage from you nudging the hell out of the cabinet
 
Step 2
Install windows from a bootable USB stick you make from your normal PC
Create installation media for Windows - Microsoft Support 
After install is finished, let windows do all updates, including updating net framework to 4.8
And install visual C++ runtimes, which you can get an all in one installer here

* you will most likely have drivers to grab and install, but need to know your exact hardware to advise on those
Motherboard and video card primarily, but also what cabinet specific hardware you have.
Controller type, does it have DOF toys? etc.
 
 
Step 3
Install VPX from the all in one installer

VPX installer - VPForums.org
 
Step 4
Update that installation to 10.6.1 by just unzipping VPinballX61_Minimal.zip Into the VPX installed folder, replacing any files it asks to

Step 5
Install Freezy's DMD extensions
Simply unzip file into the existing vpinmame folder, which is inside the visual pinball folder
dmdext-v1.8.0-x86.zip
 
Step 6
Install FlexDMD
Simply unzip also into the vpinmame folder, then run flexdmdUI and click the 2 register buttons and it is done

 Step 7
Download tables, ROMs and Backglasses you like
