can anyone advise me please on how to get the flipper strength of the attack from mars table so that i can replicate that strength from the flippers on all my vpx tables

thanks :)

In the editor,  clink on the flipper.    There is a strength setting (among others) in the physics section.     Increasing the strength variable value may do what you want but there are other variables that contribute to the ball reaction in this section.    So you need to experiment with them to get the result you want.       I am not sure what version (author) of AFM you are using but in the ones I have tried the author had the flippers dialed in pretty well.

the flipper settings in the AFM table is spot on i just wont to use these settings for my other vpx tables if possible

Fourbanks,

Each table is unique.    There is not a global setting that will work for all table physics but other tables can be a guide.     Sorry I miss read that you were trying to replicate.   Hope you are able to find what I am talking about in the settings.

@fourbanks The "spot on" flipper feel of a particular table is a result of careful calibration of numerous physics and components settings, built from ground up by the table author. As such they are not easily transferable between tables, there too many variables to consider. Transferring only the flipper settings would yield very mixed results, often requiring further tweaks to achieve preferred feel and playability. Pinball tables, real and virtual alike, are complex machines with many moving parts and materials used. It takes a long time to dial in all the settings. Sort of like cars, just because you might like how a Porsche steering feels, installing the same steering wheel in other vehicles wouldn't replicate it's handling characteristics.

i have had VPX working for awhile.

i have been online like everybody else searching for VPX settings and VPX user guide and anything else i could think of.

still experimenting with the flipper settings.

out of the DL some of the default flipper settings are real slow.

the ball barely made it through the alley to the top.

with proper flipper settings the ball should jet through spinners and lanes back to the top.

the default setting out of the DL was 3500.

i changed it to 5000 and still not much difference.

been online and here in the forum looking for info on how to do the flippers for awhile.

i cant succesfully increase the flipper strength

so to the ones that have been in VPX for awhile.

1. what is the max strength of the flippers?

2. when i clicked on the flipper in the VPX10.7.3 DTexec blueprint i got "flipper p"

i had to click on the script menu then use the object submenu to find the flippers ---"lflipper" and "rflipper".

when i found it i changed it to 5000.  no change.

3. can you give some info on the flipper physics and what they do?

ex:  in vp9 max flipper strength was 5 and speed was from 0.075- .11 and higher sometimes.

some did it the other way around using strength on 1 and upping the speed.

oblique is the launch angle off the flipper to go more center or down.

been searching for weeks "how to adjust VPX flippers" and "adjusting VPX flippers" online and here for weeks.

can't find what i need.

Just ran into this issue today and using VPX 10.8.0 . Opened the table of issue (Megadeath for me) Preference >> Configure (Optional) Global Physics Settings >> Flipper Settings >> Strength >> double the value for starters here and so far it worked for me.
