Hello, I need some help with setting up DOFLinx with my PinballFx3. I have follwed your instructions to the tee but I am still not getting any feedback from any of my toys(RGB, strobe,shaker,beacons)) on any of the tables. Everything is working fine with DOF and visual pinball but I just cant get this thing to work.

I looked at my log and all it shows is Reading DOFlinks.ini config file details

and Can't find DOFLinks.Ini

I have place all the files just as your video  tutorial shows but still does not work.

I am confused as to why? I clicked on the Doflink.exe file and the same thing shows. "cant find doflinks.ini file.

what am I missing. Thank you in advance.

Sorry, I hope I did that right. I do have the DOFLinx files in the direct output folder. Thank you again.

Sounds like you need a shortcut to DOFLinx.EXE that has the command line parameter telling DOFLinx the location the INI file.  Off the top of my head that's PATH_INI=

One more thing: When I clicked on (doflinks.exe) to check, I get "a doflink not responding" image. What could be the issue?

Did you check to make sure you don't have Files blocked

outhere, I am sorry but what do you mean by the files blocked? Do you mean the ones inside DOFLink.ini? If not, I am not sure which you mean. Frustration, thank you for your help. i need it big time. J.P

By the way, what I am getting is the screen that says "Doflinks has stopped working.

I am running the system under windows 7 not 8 or 10. Is that a problem? Visual pinball/pinballX  and DOf have not issues.

You right click the file go to properties and if it says it's blocked you need to unblock it and if that's the case what you do In the future

Right click the zip file then on block then all the files will be unblocked

How many LEDWiz's do you have?

 

That indicates you're using the wrong device for that Port

When setting the port numbers up in DOFLinx.ini file do not reverence the DOF website It may not see devices in the same order

 

1st number is device

Example if you have 111  you may have to use 211

If you still have problems Clear the log then run a game then post the log and also post your DOFLinx.ini file

OK, I have set up 2 plug and plays: One reads as ledwiz device# 2 on DOF (5 lights and strobe). The other reads as ledwiz device #4 on DOF(shaker). I also have a true ledwiz device #1.

That is my DOF configuration that works perfectly with visual pinball/pinball. When I set up DOFLinks.INI, I configured it just like that: example: Shaker as 401, undercab lighting under ledwiz#1 as 111which is the device 1 and port 11. lights and strobe with red only port as  201,204, 207,210.

Now I changed the device #4 shaker to device #3 and did not get the line #11 4 device error, but nothing is working still. Following is the latest INI. Thanks for all your patience. j.p

Do you have some things working?

 

Add this to your inI file set it to one -- DEBUG=0  --> DEBUG=1
 

Restart DOFLinx

 

A window will open, right click - It will bring up a small menu click test device
and then you will be able to figure out exactly which device is controlling want
