Could you tell me how you managed to keep the DMD in the foreground? I'm trying to use the same table, and the playfield overlaps the DMD in desktop mode. If you could give me the solution path, I would be very grateful.
Try clicking your taskbar at bottom of page, (You can hit the Windows key and keep your mouse pointer on bottom of screen before clicking it.)
You should see the DMD window.
Click on it in your task bar, to bring it to front.
Then click on the actual DMD with mouse pointer, and hold down the left mouse click, and move your DMD a little to left and a little to right.
Now click table and the DMD should stay.
Should be good on next table run also.
Edited for spelling.
Thank you for the prompt response.
I've been trying to resolve this for two days now.
Today, I tested all versions of Attack from Mars VPX, and this version would be my primary choice due to its visual appeal.
Therefore, I'm using version 4 of the AFM, not LE, for now.
But regarding this particular MOD, I've seen people using it in desktop mode with the DMD on the left displayed, as shown in the photo in this post.
I can see the DMD when I press alt + tab; it's there.
I even positioned it where I want and resized it.
I'm opening VPX in windowed mode and selecting the cabinet option in the MAME DMD's F1 menu.
I've also changed the ddraw registry entry to 0, 1, and even 2.
This made the DMD come to the front, but still, the playfield relentlessly pushes the DMD of MAME backward or downward, however you prefer to see it, leaving it hidden behind the playfield.
It's as if some file or script is dictating the situation, focusing entirely on the playfield on display 1.
I believe that the MOD script may have something wrong related to the focus of the playfield and DMD, interfering with each other!
You're welcome for responding. Intentions speak much louder than words.
