I had some time to connect my new PinDMD3 to my system.  I was very pleased with how easily it configured in Windows 10 and using Freezy's dll I was quickly able to get Pinball FX3 to display on it is well.  I am having an issue with a Def Leppard table found here...https://www.vpforums...0#commentsStart

This table doesn't use a ROM so it doesn't show up in the ROM list using Visual PinMAME Setup.  I use that to set up Swords of Fury and it worked perfectly.  I'm assuming that is the way to do it with all tables but maybe that is not the right way and that is my problem.

If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated.

you can also use the program pindmd3img or something like that, it shows a ppm image on the pindmd3, very cool.  I have this on a couple to MAME machines to show "welcome to Steve's Arcade".  sorry I don't have the exact file name, but if you need help post again or pm

(you can also mirror pinball fx2/2 stuff (even more), very cool stuff, I just moved on to LCD screen, but Pindmd3 color was awesome (I also remember when it was needed because other dmd's added lag to VP9.  it incredible how far we have come.  Really thanks devs and authors and hosts (noah), and users. Great crowd.

So is there any way to get my DMD to display what is shown on the Backglass and (if possible) remove the DMD that is displayed on the backglass?  i suppose it is a matter of finding an animated backglass image without the DMD grill on it, but I can't figure out how to get my DMD to display for that Def Leppard table.

OK, I figured out how to remove the DMD from the back glass. Still trying to get it to show on my PinDMD.

Hey Hobbyist, did you get your dmd3 working?

I followed the readme from GitHub and no difference. I must be missing something or I might be missing a program.

PinDMD does not work for Pinballfx3 - Testing with Medieval madness.

Any suggestions or direction you can point me?

You need Freezy 1.7.2 dmdext and look up that in combination with the mirror option. Should be a few examples from people setting it up for their frontend.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Still having some issues.

I'm able to run a dmdext test - Succesful

I'm able to run the command to mirror and it seems ok and running. (dmdext mirror --source=pinballfx3 --no-virtual)

Works with Future Pinball

Does not work with Pinball FX3

Does not work with VPX

DMD goes solid Orange with FX3

Any ideas?

UPDATE:

FX3 is actually working - Tried with a Zen table and its perfect.

FX3 what isn't working is the Williams tables in FX3 - Medieval madness (Solid orange)

Is there a fix for the Williams tables?

I will work on VPX today and see if I can get those going.
