Guys,

I am in the process of checking out several tables I have recently downloaded.  After testing several games with now unresolveable issues, I have observed the Bonebusters game plays fine except there is no sound.

Any ideas where to look?

Reset table ... ( delete nvram + registry ) - check also under preferences sound that you have enabled correct output device.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

For Desktop view,

Try this..

For the VPX version found here...

http://www.vpforums....&showfile=11579

In the table script on line 92, you will see...

        .Hidden = showdt

change this to

        .Hidden = 0

now the DMD that isn't integrated into backdrop will show up.

You need to click this DMD with your mouse and then hit the Tilde key on your keyboard. It's the key to the left of your 1 key.

This will bring up settings that you can change with your arrow keys. Press down arrow key to see all the different volume settings that can be adjusted.

capture361_t.png

Press right arrow key to increase volume. Press left to decrease volume.

Do this for each sound menu you see when pressing arrow down key.

When you are finished, simply press the Tilde Key once again.

Now you can change the table script back and hide the DMD again.

These settings are not stored in the nvram file. Otherwise I could have just added an nvram attachment with these volume settings adjusted, to this post.

For any other tables that you have problems with hearing sounds or music, check out ta2686's wonderful volume adjustment tutorials found here..

http://www.vpforums....tutorials&cat=9

For tables that you can't adjust the volume through Service Menu,(Usually the 7-8-9 keys) use the Tilde Key method above.

Hope this helps you.

Go into your VPinMAME folder located where you have installed Visual Pinball.

Double click Setup.exe and and in new window click "Test" tab.

Another window will pop up, and here you select Bone Busters rom and click "Start".

Now when PinMAME window appears, click on it and hit the tilde key to access volume options.

Thanks. Nothing happened with my dmd so I enabled the dmd display window and sure enough a menu appeared. Thought I had it but this is just for brightness and cpu overclock.

ok, using the test tool I see that my rom is bad. Downloaded a new one and the sound settings were there... nice! Now that I play it I wasn't missing much.

Hey all... For the life of me I cannot get this game to start. Music/sounds work, the starlion mod version works, ive changed roms and deleted nv but no matter what i do, the ball is never released.... I can add credits and when I press start, the music plays and acts as if the game has started but alas....no ball. I have tried different versions of the table and I have tried different roms. The starlion mod works with no problem but I would really like to play the original... I know this is an old post on the forum but any help is greatly appreciated.

I had no sound for bone busters. I replaced the game rom and now it works. I guess the previous game rom I had was not good.
