I first would like to thank Rothbauerw for giving me permission to make this sound mod. I would also like to thank him for making a great table!! I also would like to thank everyone who contributed to this table including, Cyberpez, WRD1972, Sinbad, Scapino, Flupper, and the Devs that make this all possible!!
They put in alot of time and work on the original table, and it is appreciated!! So if you like this mod, I would encourage you to thank the original author of the table, as I have only made a few changes!
Original Table...
http://vpinball.com/...don-bally-1981/

I also would like to thank Allknowing2012 and Gtxjoe for teaching me how to add timers to script.

I also would like to thank DJRobX, STAT, Gtxjoe, and nFozzy, for helping me shorten my StopSounds and PlaySounds script commands.
(They each wrote out an example, and between them all, I was able to figure it out!! BIG THANKS!!!)

I also would like to thank Scottacus for adding TILT sound effect script!!
(I have always had trouble trying to add sound effect to light. BIG THANKS!!)

I also would like to thank Steve "Slydog43" for which these VPX mods would not be possible!!

Version 2.1
Converted all pics to WebP format to reduce overall size of table.(VPX7.2 Required)
Converted Wav files in sound manager to ogg format which reduces file size.
Found a double Timer Sub, so renamed my Timer Sub from dt01 to dta.
File size went from 92.1 MB's to 31.9 MB's!!!

Version 2.0
Added modified version of JPSalas LUT Script.
Toggle LUT's with the Buy-In Key. (2 Key)
Moved Plunger activated sounds to Plunger Lane Trigger.
Added Instruction Card.
Instruction Card Pic uploaded with permission of Inkochnito. (Huge thanks!!)
Find all your Pinball Card needs at Inkochnito's Pinball Cards site:
http://www.pinballre.../pinball/cards/

Version 1.3
Changed sounds to be played through Backglass per Vogliadicanes info.
Removed sound effect "Rescue Friends and save Earth" from drain event.
Rothbauerw sent me updated table to use for this sound mod!! BIG THANKS!!
"Here’s the latest version, there were a couple of small mapping issues fixed in this version that are not in the most recent released version."

I added 43 sound effects including voice and background music.(Also changed original music Snippet.)

Hope you like it!!

Hello, Please see the 2 attached script errors. I only get them when I launch this table via PBX. Works fine from the editor. (scratching head) Any idea how I can fix this?

I have no idea what would cause those errors. I do not use PBX.

Does this happen with Rothbauerw's original table too??

I just added sound effects. I didn't change anything else.

What Backglass can we use that properly displays the Credits?

I'm running Blacksad's directB2S. Here is the link since VPU's search is so screwy:

https://vpuniverse.c...ctb2s-b2s-db2s/

I like it because it seems well done (I think even better when displayed as 4:3). But like I said, no Credits are displayed in either this table or Rothbauerw's. Truthfully, didn't even notice until spending more time playing this new version.

When table is running, hit F6, and the dipswitch menu will appear.

You can checkmark "Credits Displayed".

You can also checkmark "Match Feature" if you want that feature.

There are a bunch of settings you can adjust here.

That worked perfectly, thanks.

Enabled both of those since then more like arcade-placed machine. Also enabled "Extra Ball per Ball".

Can I turn-down (or just remove) the ball itself reflecting on the playfield (around it's base)? It's probably more accurate (especially when sitting on black-graphics) but it's a little distracting. It might even be some obscure Nvidia Control-Panel setting, but maybe we could just handle it that way for now?

You should be able to turn down the ball reflection amount for that table

Yeah, I tried that before posting here. However, I did find a solution.

Turns-out it was something called (simulated reflection). I had to disable it from the Options in Table's script.

Ah ok, some kind of invention specific to that table
Curious what they did though?

Reason i am curious is between the table's settings and the design of the playfield materials visual aspects, you can come up with an actually annoyingly shiny and reflective table surface almost mirror like.

But the table may have been made before that was possible or something.

With the Sound-Mod (retro music and voices from the movie) this Table is easily in my Top-10. I suppose it helps that I used to play it in the arcades and liked the campy movie and Queen's soundtrack.

I have the Instruction-Card for better Scoring, but my question is about the Dip-Switches.

I'm trying to set them to the Players advantage. Some are obvious (like 5 Balls). However, what are the ones that say "In Memory" all-about?

If not sure, where would I likely find that info? In general, where are the Dip-Switch functions documented for the various tables (beyond what we see in PinMame's F6)?

I believe the "In Memory" options allows for those lights to stay on when next ball is played, otherwise lights are not lit on next ball played.

You can find more info about these options in the manual posted ar IPDB site here...

It is the one labeled Installation and General Game Operation Instructions (includes full page schematics)

So, that would make it "easier" ... using all 3-5 balls toward a goal (instead of starting over on each ball). Ends-up being easier to score-higher, Correct?

And in the manual's lingo, does Liberal=Easier and Conservative=Harder?

I think so.

Check page 11 in the manual, and it gives more specifics.

OK, cool, I did it ... thanks.

I just turned-on ALL the F6 Dip-Switches for an easier game.
